What part of the UK are you visiting John?
I think the T6 is still flying and so will the P51D when it gets it’s new engine. That was the last I heard a month or so ago.
It’s been for sale for a few years, probably stored until it finds a buyer.
Heretic! Burn him at the stake! 😮 😮 😮
I don’t know, sounds like a reasonable statement to me. Very nice job and a very interesting article in a certain aviation magazine which of course none of us have read!!!!
Think it was G-AZBN
11.G-BKCK
12.G-BKKA
13.G-BRLV
14. G-BRVG
15.G-BRWB
16.G-BTKI
17.G-BTXI
18G-BUKY
19.G-CTKL
20.G-EJMH
Isn’t number 16 G-DDMV in the scheme it wore when first brought to the UK?
20 is G-ELMH
Not having W&R to hand, does anyone know what happened to the ex-Italian AF T-6 that Mark Hanna recovered from the fire dump at Decimomannu some years back?
Yep, it’s G-BRBC and under restoration. G-BHTH and Thumper were at Shoreham recently as well, are they still there?
There is also another former Italian machine supposedly still stored in the Braintree area.
G-TOMC and G-HRVD
Y11F – I did indeed; both projects seem to be of a very high standard (no different to the Beech then), but still have a long way to go. Didn’t get any photo’s though, as they’re both tucked away and I wasn’t sure whether the owners would be happy to see images of their birds posted on a forum. If in doubt, put the camera away. 🙂
Thanks for the update, must make a mental note to get up and take a look one day. As you say, if in doubt……
Morris Minor
I’d love to see an airworthy Morris Minor
AE977 and the Lindsay Walton Corsair please…..
The Beech looks very nice, looking forward to seeing it up and about soon. Did you happen to see the Harvard restoration projects???
(not unlike Headcorns problems – see the thread in the Historics Forum)
Sorry, it may be me, but I can’t find the Headcorn thread, can anyone enlighten me please????
Best of luck on the 16th OAW, hope all goes well, can’t make the 19th now though I’m afraid.
It was the F4U-4 I was refering to. I know the F4U-5 got away with it. At one point WoGB had the FG1-D, F4U-4 & F4U-5
