Yes, it’s very pretty inside, nice gloss paint throughout, nice restoration but as you say not very stock. If you’re not careful you can knock all the little knobs off the transponder when you get in and out, I’ve seen it happen :rolleyes:

Worth a look at the Courtesy aircraft site though, those look to be recent pics of the Wildcat taken at Rockford, may be wrong though.

The Wildcat has flown on a few occasions, back from it’s European storage hanger to Earls Colne 4-7-96, Earls Colne to Bournemouth, Bournemouth to North Weald 9-97. Since then it has been run regularly. However as I understand it, it is now in America and for sale.

I went to Great Warbirds for the first time in 1986, which was very wet, from then on I attended the rest of the West Malling shows and the last one at Wroughton (where I spent the weekend crewing the Yak 11, Spitfire and a pair of Harvards.

I have received a 1/48th Mustang in RNZAF markings, that will keep me off the streets for a bit.

Lindsay Walton’s Morane Saulnier MS733 G-SHOW. If it was 84 that was the last year that the ‘Cambodian Gunship’ as she was known was operated by Lindsay.

The Lansen is currently registered to James Wilkie who thoughout the 80’s and early 90’s had a number of vintage helicopters (Skeeter, Scout etc). Was this machine something to do with Aces High once upon a time?
