G-BOSJ has an owner at Swanton Morley
I dont quite understand the question as you might have made a spelling or grammatical error but if ive thought about it right heres my answer.
The reason north weald has the security is to stop members of the general public driving across the airfield. They could cause a danger to there selfs, people on the airfield and aircraft. Airfields are very dangerous places and you dont want people driving up and down the runway for a laugh. Or generally causing a nuisance. Also there are lots of private buildings be it aviation related or not. North weald has a domestic side and an aviation side. The company directors don’t want people walking around the premises, and might what a decent rate if security depending on what they do. Also aircraft are very expensive things even small 2 seat Cessna’s let alone spits and hunters. If members of the general public do get on to the airfield they could vandalise aircraft of there buildings or touch a sensitive part of the aircraft. That’s why there’s such security at north weald and other uk airfields.
They do a good job down at north weald and generally the people going onto the airfield now how to move and drive around an airfield
Hope this is what you asked, if not just ignore me 🙂

I can see now why I haven’t flown into North Weald for a few years. The Crime rate is much lower in Norfolk, we can leave the aircraft out on the grass in front of the hangar without the fear that some hooded chav will start driving up and down the runway, trash the aircraft and torch the buildings. Sounds like North Weald is a mega scary place these days.
Could this be the mystery tri gear Beech that was around in the summer?
As regard to the replica FW190 at Dx i think the CAA are nothing short of pathetic. How long is it going to take for them to give a straight yes or no as to its first flight.? All our historic aircraft, whether authentic or not, already operate with very strict rules and guidelines as to there operation.. so why do they keep dragging there bloody feet over this one?
Could take forever… Nothing in life is straight forward, you can have 2 identical aircraft (identical in every possible way) sitting together, yet there are still more and more hoops you need to jump through.
PV202 also ended up on its belly in September 96 after the undercarriage collapsed at Goodwood.
Yes it is Cees
Cant have been Robs Lamplough’s aicraft as that didn’t fly until April 82, and then only for 6 weeks or so.
Can you imagine the hassle trying to get that registered in the UK!!!!!!
I would have loved to have seen the one in the middle after they had refitted the wings and tail surfaces!
Do you not recognise a Hurricane when you see one???
Got hold of two perfectly good aircraft and took them to bits.
Boom Boom….
That will teach me to try to type while being bored by yet another recruitment consultant…
Happy Christmas…
There is quite a bit of stanless in a Hurricane, so pound for pound probably as much as most other Hurricane restorations.
Why would it, he was a pilot, very much like any other owner. That said MH434 does have a long and interesting history.
There is a huge amount of GRP on the interior pic, and all the access panels/fastners look as though they are moulded.
I take it its a GRP replica?
