I doubt they would let him use the lounge just because he missed his connection, imagine if they started that they would have to let everybody in!
Ive missed a connection in BCN with IB before and they had no problem giving us food vouchers. Madrids T4 is the perfrct place to be stuck in the event of missed connections a truly amazing facility.
It varies form airline to airline and if you dont use the first part of your ticket Iberia DO NOT cancel the rest of it.
It may be different with connecting flights but from past expierence I had a DUB-BCN-ALC ticket which I didnt use put the return part of the ticket was ok.
LHREI
Aer Lingus have no connections through LHR!!!! Are you mad? A massive amount of Irish passengers transit via LHR everyday onto BA flights to all parts of the world. Transit passengers make up a huge percentage of the passengers on EI’s DUB-LHR route.
You dont have to be in an alliance to have transit passengers.
I love the Shamrock321 obviously!
All those photos look amazing not a thing wrong with any of them.
So an airline who automatically gets rid of half of its potential customers. I dont think this even deserves a discussion because we all know it aint going to go anywhere.
Congratulations I love to see people achieve a goal as great as this your an inspiration to alot of people on here well done.
If I were you Id fly with an airline offering decent fares and one who actually might get my bag to my destination! Can you tell Im not to happy with BA?
Now that I have had time to reflect on my time in EDI it saddens me to see a brand like BA in such a mess 🙁
Thankfully where I work in DUB for World Wide Baggage we only look after BA from LGW I have still seen passengers with 10 hour connections arrive with no luggage!!!
The point about dispatchers is true we had the BA1464 delayed 4 hours the other night because there was no dispatcher. Thats somthing I would expect from a amateur company but not BA!!
Has it really come to the stage that we cant be without phones for a few hours?
This is the first time BFS has really been mentioned. They have said they will definitley open a new UK base but MAN and BHX were favourites.
EI have 22 daily flights into LHR so if they took 1 each from SNN and ORK and 3 from DUB it would still leave all routes with excellent frequencey ORK-3 SNN-3 and DUB-10 so 6 flights on BFS-LHR would be perfect.
Other routes from the new UK base which have been mentioned are mainly to Eastern Europe RIX, VNO etc as well as TFS.
The EI shorthaul package is as good as if not better than the other LCC in the UK with assigned seating and comfy new A320s with 32′ leg room.
They hope to have it open for next January/Febuary so an announcement should come pretty soon.
I didnt see where it was parked but at the time late on a satuday/sunday afternnon it wouldnt have had a problem getting parking.
On a different note BA and BD are bing shuffed out of C at oeaks times they are now B regulars and I even saw a BA on A last week!!.
Even the US723 has departed from A10 over the last week.
Do they still have G-MIDL because on the arrivals board in work about 3-4 days ago there was a flight operated by it coming in!! Perhaps an error.
I saw the A330 departing DUB I think it was due to another A320 going tech not ure about the 757.
Thanks for all your replies.
When you say its busy in the morning do you meen with night stoppers or a little later with T/A arrivals?
At least from DUB DL do better on their JFK service than ATL.
