I understand what your saying dont worry.Id like to see A340s here but they runway just aint long enough. How long is yours?(your runway)
Great news what about a CSA service to PRG they are starting a massive expansion and their UK route are doing well.
And why are the Easyjet tickets fisrt prize and Jet2 second.LOL great prizes.
I only see planes out my window landing on 16.If I go to the back I see 28 departures but there quite far away.
MANAIRPORTMAD do you think BMI are going to order A340s because you think Manchester needs some.If only everything we think was reality. Its interesting to see how these long hauls pan out and I think EI could be watching with interest. If they did start these what do you think the chances are of a BMI DUB-MAN service to connect Irish passengers onwards and taking some passengers away from BA and LHR.How many domestic airports do BMI fly to from MAN?
So it seem the Fokker 50 was a good choice.
As far as I know Aer Lingus do recives maintence off FLS Im only going on that Ive seen one of their planes over at the hanger.Unfortunatley we cant develop this discussion further because we have no idea about what Aer Lingus want and have planned.i cant really see them buying a super long hauler to do charter like you suggedted.tThe next possible big trek for Irish fans would be the world cup in South Africa and we dont even know if we are going. The A333 is cabable of doing that.I suppose well just have to watch and see.
They couldnt close that road.isnt that the road with the visitos centre?
Now thats a long distance airlines but still has to relevance to Aer Lingus.Wy would they want to fly that far. They dont fly half that far at the moment.
Heres a great website
http://www.fokker-aircraft.info/
I dont think that if they hadnt built it they would still be there. How much did it cost them and did they sell enough of them for it to be succesful.Fokker aircraft to the best of my knowledge had a quiet period but look at them know they are in great demand with a number of airlines who never operated them taking them into their fleets likes Jetsgo in Canada.Austrian has also expressed interest in the Fokker 100.Maybe they were to expensive to purchase when thet were first rolled out but the second hand fokker market is doing quiet well.Do the Fokker 70 and Fokker 100 have similar cockpit and how different was the F50 to operate apart from being a turboprop?
Just ot let you know a new A330-300 roughly costs $146450000 and a new 777-200 roughly costs $150490000 and the less economic A330-200 costs $128775000 so although the A332 is less economical its cheaper to buy and when ordering a large number of aircraft it could just maybe go towards the A330-200 but again we have no idea about Aer Lingus plans ro expand its long haul network. Will they just keep operating to the States or will the go eastwards and southwards.
3 of the main men in Aer Lingus have asked Irish transport minister Seamus Brennan about them buying Aer Lingus themselves.
This is awful but isnt there bussiness down there that are non airport related.Thats a huge road to close off.The couldnt close it completley because there is a emergency gate there and theres a huge staff car park there also or are they just closing a bit further up.Last year I got a bit lost and walked deep into Hounslow there is still some good points to take photographs but I got out of there quickly becasue I thought I was going to get mugged or maybe they found me weird for taking pics of planes. That was exactly a year ago this week and what a great week it was.
Itll be annoying during the winter when 27L is only used when its dark so well have one week with being able to spot when 27L is used early and none the next week because 27R will be used.
When I say at operating turboprops I was referring to airlines who hadnt operated them before.Sorry for all the spelling mistakes in that post.I say this is turning into a healthy debate isnt it.
No im not starting a war.I undertstand what you are saying about moving to a new similar product but how many airlines wanted to move from one to the other and how may airlines were looking at the time at operating Turboprops. When you look at it a new airline back in the late 80s who wanted to operate a turboprop would have been more drawn to the ATR becauses it cheaper.Maybe Im a bit modern going mad with cost cutting.operating cheap aircraft etc.I wasnt interedted in aviation then so I dont know what state it was in and if airlines were as tight with cash as they are now.
