Well I hope the passengers were looked after.
Last week we had a FCA flight from BOJ delayed 25 hours and I was there to greet the passengers. Despite the long delay the passengers had nothing but praise for the airline as they had been treated very very well.
Ye its a TSC flight number with SSV crew. I also noticed the GF departing rather late last friday.
Thats a good idea and it may get people to actually write their details on them.
I work in baggage tracing and you would be amazed how often we have bags which have had baggage tags come off but have name tags on them with no name written on.
Heres a quick tip for you all if you dont want to loose any baggage on your travels.
Write your name, address, phone number and flight details on a sheet of paper and put it INSIDE your bag so that if one of use baggage tracers need to ”on hand” it we wont have to go all the way through your underwear just to find some sort of ID.
Ye the My Travel A320 is around for the weekend only. They are operating a number of charter routes this summer including FAO,ACE and DLM.
The FCA based aircraft is a Canaidian reg 757 which went tech in BOJ last week so we also had a UK reg one.
The SkyService A330 is operating the DUB-SNN-YYZ service once a week this summer but it is a Air Transat flight with TSC flight number. Its operated by A310 on the other day.
Air Canada also returned to DUB today with a daily 762 flight to YYZ via SNN.
Im a passenger service agent for a handling company here in DUB.
Despite the early starts and the horrible finishing times I couldnt imagine myself doing anything else.
My 3 months working at check in and 9 months in baggage tracing have thought me alot. The most important skill Ive picked up is my confidence. I was a shy person with a negative attitiude.
Now Im not afraid to do anything and Ive been called Mr. Bright side of life.
Even if you try it and it fails at least you have tried but the fact that your talking on here suggets youll love it.
You get the oppurtunity to meet some of the most amazing people both as passengers and as colleuges and of course you meet the lazy sh*ts.
As regard promotion I wasnt succesful this year but that was because their was more expeirenced people ahead of me but since then Ive proved what Im able to do.
I might be going on a bit but my point is you will have the oppurtunity to learn alot and meet some amazing people.
I very much dount it although I would like to see it. Aer Lingus are leaving One World but are retaining code share agreements with alot of airlines and I BA is one of them.
If BA were to operate the route they would pick up connecting passengers but EI would kill them with their frequency which BA wouldnt be able to compete with.
Man Pointing: Ahhhh so that were I left it!!
Tom it just the low cost carriers who don have their winter scedules released. Most of the major full frill carriers will let you book 330 days in advance.
They use A320 on BRS service and they did use it to LPL but that has been quiteley dropped.
Aer Lingus today also announce direct flights from Dublin to Turin as well as Cork to Madrid, Prague and Lanzarote.
Ok Im confirmed for AMS but flight departs and the ungodly hour of 0610!!!
Right here goes my say.
Tom I may be able to meet up on the first date you booked but Im working.
The second date you can count on me for transport.
I cant make the 18th in as its to expenisice and Ive got a flight to Barcelona the next morning.
Im going to book my ticket for AMS tonight itll cost €133 but just incase the fare shoots over the next month or so.
So it was you 2 I saw while walking around the new A peir- I wasnt sure and I didnt want to come over and make a fool of myself if it happened to be someone else.
I think alot of the CO delays are to do with the time the flight leaves EWR.
For example before CO started 2 daily to DUB the CO22 the first one was scheduled to arrive at about 0730 but was constantly late.
Now with the CO22 scheduled to arrive at 0655 its performance is much better and thr CO126 which is scheduled to arrive just after 9am is also perfroming very well, any delays it has experienced are bad ones like 2-3 hours.
As regards where the 757s originate before arriving in EWR I know the BHX flight does or did start from LAS and routed LAS-EWR-BHX.
The CO22 the EWR-DUB flight originates in IAH and routes IAH-EWR-DUB.
Aer Lingus flight from DUB was also cancelled.
Ye thats off to Finnair. I saw it in DUB the other night approacing runway 28 and it did a go around which was a great sight.
