Great pictures Tom and as others have said I look forward to seeing alot more.
Well most of the time I travel without baggage but I work in the baggage department and the most common problem is delays in the delivery of baggage due to lack of staff. Ive been shouted at countless times because of other people inability to show up for work.
LOL thats true cheesebag. This evening CPH-DUB flight is also cancelled.
While we are on th subject of long haul Aer Lingus have announced that they are taking delivery of 4 new A330s the first to arrive at the end of this year.
Well the A321s are going strong in DUB with no other aircraft scheduled to operate on the route for the next month or so. bmi currently overnight 2 A321s in DUB every friday night.
Nice shots!!!!! I headed up to DUB today but didnt bring my camera and boy did I regret it. Thats magnificent Binter Canairies 737 was in 🙁 but it was still awesome to see.
Do OS use any other types on ski charters???? We get a bit of everything-A320/321, 73G and F70s.
For me price is importnat but I am willing to pay more if the times are better.
One example being is when we met up in MAN last August. Rayanair were cheaper that Aer Lingus but the EI times suited me alot better.
I agree LBA 717s????? Wheres the logic behind that?
Whatever you do dont leave it onboard when you leave the aircraft. The amount of people who leave those things onbaord and never get the back is shocking.
Good news for PIK. I wonder will they ever enter the Irish market they are one of if not the only Polish LCC not serve Ireland and the moment and the Ireland-Poland market is growing at a rapid pace.
I got my new roster and Im confirmed for the 13th but Im in on the 21st.
Well working where I do I can get access to LS loads on flight from BFS and LBA as Servisair handle them at those airports and loads on BFS-BLK arnt incredibly great but its yeild that really matters.
New Years day mighnt be the busiest travelling today but I bet its the day when the highest % of workers ring in sick.1 hour 40 mins is a long time but if you get caught in the middle of summer on a delayed flight you can be waiting longer.
The worst Ive heard of is 2hours and 30 minutes all because the flight was delayed.
LOL if only it was that simple.
I know all about delayed baggage and passengers complaining about delays in delivery of baggage.
From my expirence over the last few months I cant tell you the most common occurances of delayed baggage to the baggage hall.
1)Technical Problems-Yes it does happen ground equipmet does break down and hold doors on aircraft dont alway open like they should. And if the flight is containerized the actual containers can cause trouble when being opened.
2)Customs-Every now and then customs decide they want to have a look at some luggage before the passenger has a chance to run away with it.
3)Lack of staff-Unfortunatley a common problem,If one rings in sick everybody suffers, airlines dont have extra lads liing around to help if someone rings in sick. Last week i.e. new years and christmas was the worst Ive seen. At one stage we had one team trying to get through an A320 and 757 which landed together.
So stop complaing as you have have no ideas what goes on during the delivery of baggage. I didnt know either before I was moved from check-in.
Just be patient and wait.
I dont see why they would be down all over Europe???
Servisair use a system clled CODECO which is the same system KLM use infact they invented it.
From time to time it does go down but Ive never heard of it going down all over the place.
Servisair Globeground arnt the only ones who have had trouble, Gulf Air in Dublin who are handled by Aviance had a computer failure just last week.
