Thanks for the good wishes everybody. I was quite nervous the night before but I was amazed when I went in just how freindly and helpful everybody was. I was also cautios about holiday flights saying I would much prefer scheduled but to be honest the charters are great. People are in high spirits and having a good laugh. nother great thing is after check in and you go to the boarding gate the passengers remember you and will always give you a smile and make a joke about how we have to stay here working and they are off to the sun. Little do they know Im having a btter time then them.
Perhaps it was Avisjet they have been operating their A300s in here. Other blue A300s you could have seen are Air Transat or Air Contractors.
I tihnk he was taling about a blue eirjet???
CO have being flying to Dublin for years now initially with a 757 then up to a 762 and for the summer they operate a 764 and a mix of 757and 767 in the winter.
AA statred flights from ORD to DUB on May 1st this year and I belive this is US 3 season here using 767 which is a seasonal service restarted in the last few weeks.
I dont think you saw a Eirjet A310 maybe a A320 which would have been operating one of their charter flights.
I also saw the 727 landing yesterday morning I think it was here for maintenance as it has been sitting on a remote stand for a few days now.
Another interesting sight yesterday was a VS A340 doing a engine test which I was lucky enough to see.
Ni idea about the Gulfstream.
Indeed a brillaint picture and although from a while back this is just as good.
For someone who hasnt done photography for 17 years they are mighty good. I love the AF 146.
T5 we have seen to many times in the recent past airlines doing things that we know wont work but they still think they will. This may well just be another example. I dont think Smartwings are the smartest airline anyway. They pulled out of Dublin for the summer (peak season) and will be back in the winter. It usually works the other way around.
Brillaint pictures Tom I know youve been looking forward to that visit all week and it seemed very worth while.
I bought mine today althogh I didnt expect it to be out until next wedensady and I have to say its one of the better issues of the last few months a few of which have been diabolical.
Monarch are operating a A300 from DUB this summer but Im not sure if it is based although it is in quite regularily.
From being in the airport everyday now Ive noticed that a Spanair MD-80 and a FUA 738 overnight.
In the height of summer Futura will operate 80 flights a week to various destinations including Heraklion,Lanzarote and Nice and little do the passengers on the flight to those destinations on saturday know whats in store for them 😀 me checking my first flights in.
Ive noticed bmi also had a lot of A320 flights yesterday, I dont know if a A321 went tech but the A320 overnigheted and the A321 were definitley back today.
Onur air also have a number of weekly flights this summer including 3 flights on Sundays mornings and some others throughout the rest of the week.
Eirjet also have a number of flights from DUB.
As Ill be working on alot of charter flights this summer Ill do my best to find any other info for you.
Germanwings are a free seating airline and just because you get their early doesnt mean you can board first espeically at an airport which isnt a base.
Im very tempted but it would cost be a whopping €48 LOL the only thing is Id be there at 0725 which seem a bit early, the next flight gets into MAN at 1325 so maybe Ill have a look at EI. Im a maybe.
€75 with EI and a more respectable arrival time I may just book that. Hope you dont mind me inviting myself.
This is Jack with my hat on Grrrrrrr
