NWA own their DC-10s so they dont have to pay leasing companies etc. Air Scotland are going to have to invest money in purchasing or leasing these aircraft and lets face it they are not going to get 20 years out of them???. NWA are in the process of replacing thir DC-10s with A330s. You also said they were doing OK.

If the fares a cheap people will fly. But how are they going to offer cheap fares with an old fuel guzzling aircraft. With the price of oil going up and up this could do some serious damage to the airline.
Why isnt anybody else operating scheduled Tristar flights across the Atlantic? because it wont work. It may sound great in theory but unless they change to somthing more efficnet they are going to run into a brick wall very very quickly.

My uncle live near FRA and travel to DUB about 3 times a year. He used to travel with LH becasue he got the meal etc. However now he flies with EI because LH intra European service has become pretty basic.

Even I have to agree with yous on this one. I may not be the best catholic on earth but I tihnk some respect should be shown.

it certainly is good news but the one thing that would worry me is the slow rate of delivery in comparison with the big boys. Do they have any plans to increase production? I remember reading somewhere they had opened a facility in China but I am not 100% sure.

If Im working then I might come and see you when you arrive. Great news is im soon getting sorted with a car so for future DUB meets there will be additional transport to the spottingf areas 😀
