Hello Peter,
I have found two shots of the last fuselage on my harddisk. Its the same fuselage with the rusty gear legs and the checked camo.
The cowling looks like a DB engine. Possible the plane was build up as static replica with Buchon parts?
David
Source of the photos: Somewhere found in the world wide web.
Mark, now Im confused. Was this situation real or Photoshop-made?
Some parts of the photo looks real (tail wheel, main gear) other parts looks unreal (prop blades).
@Fouga23: Many Buchons, now and in the past, got imho bad paintings and markings. The current paintings of the Daimler Benz powered 109’s are mostly better. Possible a part of bad research. In my opinion the Buchons need a real historic restoration back to the status when they was used at the Spanish Air Force. That means the remove of the BoB film modifications and Spanish camouflages and markings. Buchons with Merlin engine and German camo are just eye catchers with they “big” swastika on the tail. π
Thanks for the photo, chumpy.
This means the plane got the paint sheme with the “red 14” (see the link) between the August 1987 and July 1989. Was the plane painted with this camo for the The Tuskegee Airmen movie? I dont remember the camo of the 109s in this film.
I think I have a leak in my time table…
I got the information that the plane was used by the “Dick Melton Aviation”. It must be between Charles Church and Jim Cavanaugh?! I got this photo and it was taken at a La Ferte Alais airshow, but I dont know the year.
Hi Pete,
thanks for your nice story and the interesting photo.
I hope you can find the film and share it with us, I like this old airshow photos and also the old Buchons.
OK, a little bit off topic but still interesting… I found this nice BoB film color photos on an also interesting type of website:
HA 1112 “red 4” (possible the C4K-105/G-AWHH ?)

Isn’t that a pic of one of the Battle of Britain Buchons? The rest of the pics in that set are all Battle of Britain film pics.
Hmm, I think you are right. The hangar photos with the destruction confirm that. π
After reading this thread I remembered that I’ve recently seen a photo of the a/c in a hangar after its accident while owned by Bill Harrison. So I just thumbed through some old Air Classics bought on evilbay. From the photo it looks like Harrison’s colors were kept by Robs Lamplough although I’m not sure if the number 14 on the fuselage was 11 while in Tulsa. Kinda dark, grainy photo in Air Classics.

Hello,
I think you mean this photo?

Yea, this can be the Buchon G-BJZZ after the accident at Biggin Hill. The photographer write the photo was taken at Duxford, and the hangar looks like Duxford?!
I have found two other photos of a Buchon at Texas in the 70th, possible the N48157? Im a little bit “angry”, no side view of the plane for good identification. Only the swastika. π

Thank you!
I have made a curriculum vitae on my website with the known informations.

I only need a photo from the N48157 before the first accident on the 09. October 1977 for the documentation.
Thanks for your help!
Charlie Brown, yes now I do remember it. Snoopy. π

Thanks for your fast answer! π
Hi David,
That info comes from a few sources as the aircraft being yellow 8, it does not however, as far as I know, wear the scheme.
Thanks for your answer. I only know that “yellow 10” was a possible war time marking of this plane.
Just as a quick question, have you seen anymore photos or videos of red 7 flying other than on your great site,
Thanks
Matt
Sure, I have seen many photos and videos of the red 7. They are not all on my website, just try google, airliners.net and youtube.com. π
Here is a photo from 8th October 2004. It was poor weather on this historic day of the “red 7” presentation. π
