If it is G-OZBE, it is the second aircraft in a matter of a couple of months that I have been on an aircraft that has had a crash(G-JMAB is the other one).
I think the word “crashed” is a tad to strong, perhaps mishap is more fitting.
ok we all have our different views, so lets just get back to normal.
Have we all fininshed? …. good
Bye the way good weather today seen loads of flyovers
Just tring to lighten the mood.
Chill out mate, just adding my 2 pence worth.
Jeeesss some people?
I just think that the “UK” as part of the Airbus partner we should support this and should be happy that we are winning orders from Boeing.
and to change the subject a touch but as long as that Muppet is in charge of the US “Mr Bush” I have no time for any American products.
GO BRITISH
Oh do be quiet.
boeing have not been winning all the orders. Far from it! That drivel you just spouted has no basis in fact what so ever.
Charters airlines like Boeing aircraft for varioius reasons.
For example, the 757 is popular as it can do what the A320 family cannot; Take off with a full charter load from short, hot and high runways.
The 767 have proven itself as a superb long haul cattle mover.
Guess you are an avid Boeing fan? I forgot that Scotland has no connectivity with Airbus so hence you don’t like them?.
And as far as the 767, yes it is a good plane but just a tad old these days and hence why I think that any new orders from UK charters would be for the 330 of even the 7E7 later on.
As you supprt th the 757 didnt BY try the 737-800s to serve the airports in greece that couldnt accomadate a 757, think that failed as well “BRING ON THE BUSES”
As a British citizen and we are part of the airbus group I think that this is good news instead of boeing winning every order.
But as far as UK charter airlines this is still made up of moslty Boeing aircraft, who do you think will break this with an order that will replace there fleet to a total Airbus design?. My thoughts are on the TUI group as I would think that the whole BY fleet will be replaced with 320/321 and 330 for long haul.
Do you have a link to it please ? Just had a look and can’t find it on there ?
Try this

Thats what I thought but apparantly just before touch down the nose pitched up and hence the tail strike, could of been a gust of wind. There is a picture on A.net looks like around 5ft of damage under the tail.
ummmm, bet that’s nice and roomy, least it won’t stink of kerosene.
I also like the trip reports and as said above it is to do with aviation. Also I like the good disscussions which do turn in to a bit of good old banter.
I think there forum is utter pants, you get the same people just moaning about the same things, only reason I go on it is for the pics.
This site is much more civilised and more fun.
Good call,
Maybe Air Scandic can pass there old buses to My Travel in return for some of there ageing 757’s. And My Travel will have a better chance of less delays?.
Also there are a few preserved DC9’s in the desert they could get a few of those.
Are these being replaced on just using Finnairs 757’s. Also these old A300 are worn out, flew on them 2 years ago to Palma and it was awful. The plane stunk of Jet A1 inside, the panels were falling off and I sure I saw Amy Johnson’s sandwiches on the seat behind me.
