Well managed to see the Lancaster, flew around 1500ft over the city just as the sun broke through, hung around till 13:00 but didnt see the Airbus, but accrding to the news here it did turn up and not to sure if it was a Airbus unit or an airline owned.

Well I hoped it would be RR powered, not much point of a GE one would they.

Not to sure on type just that this morning on the local radio it mention that a fly past would be taking to the sky’s over Manchester and not to be alarmed as this is to do with the anniversary of Roll Royce.

It was a while ago now, but I did my work experience at British Aerospace at Woodford, was the best thing ever crawling around 146’s and ATP’s for two weeks.
This was organised by my School through me whining at them every day till they sorted it out for me

Good point, but surley these will have loads of hours on them as they were early units that BA sold of first for conversion. Also did’nt thes have the old style RB211 engines on them, as the one delivered yesterday had the more common RB211 unit. So I dont think they are ex BA.

suppose so, but kinda strange as this would endure costs of flying the aircraft out there with crew and then back to the UK, stange?.

cool pics, looking at picture number 5 that left outer tyre looks a bit worn, mind you nother strage there as most russian aircraft seem to have worn tyres.

Flew to Toulouse in Feb on 2 different BY 757’s and they both had this awful interior fitted. Makes it fell very closed in and very nauseous.

Bring back the old livery and the nice 360 interior!!!!!
