Very nice indeed, that first shoot of the Aurela 57 is stunning.
🙂
Super shots there Mr Lomax, the old girl is looking very well for her age.
Any reason why Russian aircraft do seem to park there craft with TR in the open positon?
Nice to see a different selection from lands not too far away, cracking shots. Also to note the TU-154 is it parked up or pushing back using his own stream as the thrust reversers are deployed?

Been following all afternoon on sky, fire fighters reported bodies everywhere, absolute carnage. Looks like the survival numbers will be dropping. Our thoughts with those poor people.
ohh what a blast from the past, please bring back the Britannia brand Thomsonfly, it still looks as fresh today as it did years back.
As they are going to and all charter outfit what are the chances of Thomson Airways reverting back to a British classic?.
Hi Neil
Was told it had called in for fuel,it had a undercarrige problem ,and had flown the whole flight with its wheels down, also called in to Shannan.
I bet that was a rough flightPaul
I don’t think they would have flown across the pond all the way with the undercarriage down, landed at Shannon and then Manchester. More likely a medical diversion.
I was after a website related to weather so I can have alook for a upcoming flight and see whats ahead weather wise.
I think we got our wires crossed. thanks anyway

Does it really matter? What advantage do you know what aircraft you maybe going on before hand? Can’t you just wait until you’re about to board and look out of the window? 😀
I wasn’t asking for the exact aircraft!, as I stated I was only wondering which were Man based. And it does matter as then you can do some research i.e. does it have winglets and so on. Comes from being an aircraft enthusiast.
Thanks again for your update lbarules.

Many thanks for clearing it all up lbarules,
do you know which are based at Man or is it pot luck?
How strange, was on my way to John Lewis and took a detour past the airport, on the road up to the airport hotel I spotted the two offending aircraft then whilst at the traffic lights at the top of shadow moss road an A320 did a go around, again thinking nothing off it. I must of just missed the prang.
Does anybody have any idea which craft I will be on?, also are they newly built units or x HapagLLoyd. I think the flight No is Tom2913 outbound and Tom2588 inbound
Thanks in advance.
Thoses easy 737’s looked to have took a bashing, nice selction by the way.
Guess you were lucky, I have flown with Britannia for the last twenty years, and since the rebrand I have found them about as good as all the other low cost airlines. Yes times have changed but when you pay a small fortune for you holiday I guess that’s when you notice the differences, the 767 was worn out inside, broken panels, IFE was up the spout crew were miserable and garbage strewn around the door areas to name but a few things.
A far cry from what they were many moons ago, I think the only other airline still having the cut above the rest are first choice and I have heard good feedback about Excel.
It’s been a downhill slope for Thomsonfly since there rebranding, flew on a 763 last year and it was in a right state. Oh well will find out what the 738 is like in a few weeks
