i remember reading a comment by MOL, he said there was far to many managers at BA sipping Cafe Latte’s at Waterside
Very Nice airport from landside, never been airside, but nice spacious and staff are friendly, if a little green (which is to be expected), ohh and remember to take a spare £1 coin with you for the baggage trolley
how long is the aircraft at NEMA for?
I believe it departs NEMA on Saturday, from the info i was given last night.
Dar es Salaam where is that?
sorry for my ignorance!
what long haul routes do the current “dusked” 767s fly then?
Superb shots….i was at Manchester Airport this morning, around 6am to meet the First Choice flight from Cuba (Holguin)…and it was flippen freezing
I’m working as an electrician at the moment…. so…. Electrocuting myself is number one on my list… I’m always extra careful to ensure the circuits are dead though… better to be paranoid than dead I guess.
Isnt that what electricians apprentices are for?
Sparky: hey kid just touch that wire there!
Apprentice: ok
Sparky: Feel anything?
Apprentice: nope
Sparky: well dont touch the other one, unless you want a 1970’s Scouse perm!

Good news for Boeing, with all these new orders coming in, but there existing orders are backing up if the machinists are still on strike.
According to Airliner world, Boeing only delivered 6 planes last month, compared to 25-30 a month normally
Bet Singapore Airlines arent happy……There the lead customer for the A380 and i would have thought Airbus would paint it in SIA colours
Compared next to the A346–the A380 looks a little “dumpy”
Why do people not increase the speed (time thing) when flying long haul, makes sense to me, thats how I can do long haul flights on a school day, just set it to normal when landing/taking off
Thats cheating :diablo:
i normally set up a long haul flight befor i go to bed….get to cruise altitude and set speed…then wake up in the morning and find out the computer has done a virus check, crashed or logged on to internet to get the auto updates and find out ive only done 400Nm from when i left it because Fs has paused
i did a “mickey Mouse” GPS approach into Salzburg, and the ATC had me coming in from the mountain end of the runway (something which isnt done in real life) and gave me clearence to decend into a mountain.
last flight was a Qantas 744 Los Angels-Sydney non stop
wow, thats pretty impressive…
Now just imagine it is January, the mountains are covered in snow, the cloud base is low blending in with the mountains….
