Aviation Partners do the winglets really 😉
Well there are 2 Aviation Partners,
1. specialises in Winglets for private jets etc etc
2. is a Subsiduary owned by both Boeing and Aviation Partners, which only concentrates on Boeing airplanes :p
Winglets do suit the 757…But..it is assumed the Russians copied the concorde design and the TU144 is called the Concordeski.. Now Boeing has copied Tupolev and the 757 should be renamed the “757ski”
Must admit, the ANZ livery was made for the 787!!!
Wouldnt mind seeing the BA livery on a A345/346
Thought American was on the road recovery as i keep hearing,as they havent been in chap 11 yet
Its obvious that no matter what Martin or AlphaOne do, you and the others think of a way to turn it around and seem dodgy or suspect. Well, Have fun with that.
But out of interest, what will it take for you to actually consider that AlphaOne is happening?
an Invite forwarded to Airliner world, and let one of there journo’s give it the once over, Geoff Dixon,Eryl crump or Richard Marston giving them un-restricted access to AlphaOne employee’s and get passenger reviews?
Why can’t you simply accept them for what they are? Reviews by a passenger.
Is it so hard to beleive that now things are working as they should, relatively speaking, for AlphaOne that people will actually enjoy the service? This is precisely the behaviour I was on about. Once someone thinks negative, they continue to do so and also create negativity.
ok…
It happens on Ebay were people get friends to give them good feedback so it looks good to the average punter, so why not happen on a website like this?
im not saying baby branson had anything to do with it, but we dont know that he didnt do we?
A1 has only operated a handful of flights and getting better reviews than BMI baby or Ryanair…smells more fishy than an icelandic trawler in 90 degree sunshine!
Hmmm – lets have a closer look at these “Reviews”….
“….Once again the aircraft was a smaller Piper plane due to late delivery of AlphaOne’s aircraft. Apparently they are getting British Aerospace planes and these will have full cabin service onboard….”
“…. No cabin staff onboard, but these apparently will be on the new planes from the beginning of January….”
” …Arrived on time in the Isle of Man and flight was greeted personally by the airlines’ young boss ‘baby Branson’, turned out his real name was Martin. Very nice young man who made sure that we had fully enjoyed our experience. I wish them the best of luck and look forward to sampling the full AlphaOne product in the New Year…”
And the other “Review”
“…Check in was very quick, AlphaOne seem to already have a good visual presence at Ronaldsway…”
“…. Will certainly use AlphaOne again and look forward to trying out their full product when their new planes arrive…”
Gosh – the service is just toooooooo good and its only going to get even better in the New Year – hurray for Martin !!!!!
Shame we cant check the I.P address these “Reviews” came from … 🙂
Hmmm makes you wonder…what about: Shame the internet site and booking engine isnt working yet or “still under Construction”
on another point..a free self service bar on a Piper Navajo/Chieftan executive..Fuel,landing fee’s,wages,advertisng/website and handling agent how does it expect to make money at £110 return?
I work in building with around 1000 users connected to the internet via a complex network. All have very similar IP address, and those using a group router (8 people) have the same IP address.
Does this mean I’m impersonating between 8 and 1000 people? I guess in your logic I must be a liar and a conman.
Why didnt you quote the the whole item i wrote instead of only one section that suits your argument, i didnt say it was conclusive proof, i said it only asked more questions than it answered, and the current time when i found the said article on another forum, the future of Alpha1 was bleak at best. The moderator/owner did an IP address trace and made those accusations. At no point what so ever did i call YOU or intend on calling you liar or a conman. So take the Phaser off of kill, when a stun setting would be suffcient!
Can I ask a simple question to all of you participating on this thread and those that participated in the others.
Why is it that when a new member logs in and supports Martin/Alpha One, they are instantly discredited, a favourite method is accusing them of being Martin Halstead.
But when a new member comes on, joins the band wagon and makes general derogatory comments about AlphaOne, no one questions them in the slightest?canadair has posted the most objective post on the entire subject. Kudos to you
Also, Kudos to the moderators for keeping this thread clean and free of libellous material.
Perhaps the new members dont know the full track record of Alpha1 and the promises it so far has broken everytime and continues to do so.
Mods if this is libellous please remove…but hasnt there been a track record on another forum where Mr Halstead has posted and a so called supporter been on to defend him, but found out to be using the same IP address, i know it is not conclusive proof that Mr Halstead does it, but it certainly asks more questions than can be answered.
I used to be a supporter of Alpha1 when it first materialised as an air taxi between Oxford and Cambridge, Start date after start date was missed, various reasons given about investors, planes not being available etc etc.
Now all i see is a Media Hungry young man, keen to be in the spotlight as possible, while his “Rome” crumbles around him!
Super pic….one thing that has come to my attention is that Emirates is the Official airline for World Cup Germany 2006, surely Lufthansa must be seething at the potential world wide missed publicity.
Any guesses on which engine it will choose?
my money will be on Rolls Royce
i have a Bendix/King KX99 Tranciever radio
Hmmm so the people who live near heathrow (who i may add, have been offered or given free double glazing and extra insulation) want it to move? So they can offload the problem onto some other people, aslong as it doesnt affect them they dont care..well my solution would be! (here’s the clever bit) put an extra 60% on there council tax bills for 10+ years so it will help offset the building costs of building a brand new world class international airport, the people who will be effected by the new airport will get a 40% reduction in council tax once operations begin!
BUT…
on the otherhand i can sympathise with the residents, Heathrow may be a world leader, but its in totally the wrong position, the transport links to it are ridiculous, especially if you have to use the M25 during rush-hour,there is also limited room for expansion unless you purchase surrounding houses and businesses, and at London prices make it extremely expensive.
Unfortunatly it is a no win situation.
Is that not a MON767 in the background, not an A300?
Great shots there mate.
Chris
Yep, that is the Monarch 767 in the background 🙂
Looks like John Leahy will be getting his christmas bonus this year
Whilst on the subject of Airbus Orders…havent seen this one mentioned yet..
Taken from http://www.Airbus.com.
Following a commitment announced in May 2005 by US Airways and America West, US Airways Group – the merged entity of the two low-cost carriers – has firmed up their order and signed the contract for 20 Airbus A350 aircraft. The airline has not yet announced its engine selection or seating configuration for the aircraft. US Airways’ intention is for the A350 to broaden its international service from both the eastern and western United States. Deliveries of the aircraft will begin in 2011 and run through 2014.
“When we restructured the airline, we knew we would need a new aircraft to grow with us, and the A350 truly fits the bill,” said Doug Parker, chairman, president and chief executive officer of the newly merged US Airways. “As both halves of our heritage include Airbus fleets, we have great confidence in the brand, and look forward to an airplane that meets our needs for range, economy, and comfort, while offering our crews technology with which they are already experienced.”
In addition to a single-aisle fleet of some 200 Airbus aircraft, US Airways flies nine A330 widebodies, the pilots of which will need no additional training to transition to the A350. The cockpit commonality between the two aircraft allow pilots of the A330 and A350 to share the same type rating.
“US Airways is our first U.S. airline customer for the A350, and we know they are leading a trend,” said Gustav Humbert, President and Chief Executive Officer of Airbus. “We designed the aircraft in direct reaction to airline requests, offering more range and new materials to lighten the load and better the fuel economy. The A350 will be an ideal complement to the existing US Airways fleet.”
Orders and commitments for the A350 currently total 155 from eleven customers worldwide. Following a launch of the aircraft programme in October of this year, the first A350 is scheduled to be delivered in 2010. The A350 will seat between 253-300 passengers in three classes, with a range of up to 8,800 nautical miles.
Airbus is a joint EADS company with BAE Systems.
