Excellent set of photos.

Fabulous shot’s…i thought the Osprey was long retired!!!
Far from it Steve, it is very active and now deployed on ops. This one pictured is a CV22 (USAF variant) with a retractable IFR probe. This aircraft is used for deep penetration missions and has an awesome night capability with terrain hugging radar.
All the best
Si
Cracking last shot Paul….love it.

Steve,
It is a great tour, I did it a few years ago….no cameras allowed which was unfortunate.
Here is the website I booked my tour through:

Cheers for the comments guys, I have plenty more images on my cards…..;)
Navy Lt Cdrs……getting a knock back from the ladies does nothing for your ego! (Don’t tell the wife I said that!) 😉
Indeed, Si. Stop whinging and post more! 😀
I joke, of course. It isn’t any fun when you don’t have time to go out shooting. Then again, at least you have an excuse. I have loads of time at the moment but I’m too lazy to make the most of it and take my cameras out as often as I should. Not good!
Nice images as usual, and that 727 is an absolute beauty! The side on shot is very nice indeed.
Thanks for sharing, Si. It’s nice to see you posting again and hopefully it will be a more regular occurrence?! 🙂
Paul
Qualified as a professional whinger in 2008! When are you using the new LBA – NQY route? 🙂
Lovely stuff!
Where abouts are you living in Cornwall? I used to live down there! Plenty of chances to photograph GA there as there are a few airfields down that way. I trained at perranporth which was a nice airfield.
Live about 2 miles from Newquay Airport near Mawgan Porth, work at RAF St Mawgan. The good old council have built mud walls around the parking areas where you could get shots of the aircraft landing on 12….I love Cornwall CC….as the frosties tiger would say…therrrreeee Greeaat!
Cheers Paul, sense of humour still intact…..just!
Si
Very nice indeed Si. Seems that work hasn’t taken a toll on your humour.
I was down your neck of the woods today, spent part of today down at Mawgan Porth.
See you soon.
Damm Adam, I live around a mile from the beach up yonder hill toward Bedruthen Steps!
Speak soon
Si
Ian, Airbus is outstanding, love the light.
Happy New Year
Si J
Did Santa bring you a present….you must have been a good boy this year?
Nice shots, does the LS stop off anywhere before crossing the pond?
Si
…and how many aircraft regulary are hit bit lightning? Must have been a slow news day…
In the last 24 hrs, 56 reported hits, 27 near misses and 14 “ooooh that looks pretty!” 😉
I was on a Omni Air DC10 departing from Kabul recently that was hit by lightning….of course most of us on the aircraft but 2 and 2 togather and came up with 15 and thought it was a rocket attack, yes I did s..t my pants!!!
Glad to be home
