Some really powerful shots mate, I always believe the weather is the difference between an good shot and an awesome shot. My favourites are the first Blue P, Corsair,…heck they are all awesome!

Thanks for the reply guys…..the CofG theory is odd as I have never known this before on any other airline, surely if the aircraft had a CofG snag then it would be much easier to assign seating and therefore free up more seats at the front and rear to allow more pax on the aircraft? Also when any aircraft is in the design phase all possible loading senarios are worked through regarding loading, pax, luggage and freight distribution so that the end user (the customer) knows that any combination of the above will be compensated by trim / alternate distribution, ie freight / luggage drirtibuted to compensate for pax loading. Really strange that the low cost model is to try and fill your aircraft, yet they block seats. They might as well operate 737-700’s.

Apparently the Kingfisher was at GLA the night before and then hopped over to Edinburgh, rumour has it Kingfisher are taking over a whisky company. the A319 is night-stopping by all accounts.

    Robert

Ah so it’s not the new daily A319 servce from Edinburgh to Mumbai!

Thanks for posting this picture, as Gleno said, those were the days when you could spend the day on the terraces eating ice cream and watching the planes of more than 2 varieties.

    Please post some more!

    Cheers

Iam pretty sure that the Merchantman did finish up with ABC, but didnt they operate out of EMA. I remember HS Dynamics o/hling the props etc for them at the timeIncidentally BA had a store of Vanguard propsbought from AC, which still had hours on them, the occasional prop then being sold off to ABC or EAS in Perpignan

    Tone,
Thanks for that, I thought it operated for ABC alongside an Argosy and was based in Belfast.

    Robert,
Some great images mate, the NEOS and Travel City aircraft on stand really stand out for me. Dare I ask what the Kingfisher Airbus was doing at EDI…possible fuel stop?

    All the best
