    Robert,
Top shots mate, it’s great seeing the SD360 flying rather than gathering dust! The MNG F27’s come into Filton quite a lot on the mail runs…when my 9 year old daughter sees one of them she shouts “look dad a minging plane”, oh how I love my children

    Paul,
A great selection of shots; for me the FCA is awesome and just exudes power! I also really like the Islander shot.

    Keep em comming

Great days they sure where shame I was not around then 🙁 😀 Whats wrong with RAF cabin service then Si?

    James

I just love eating my lunch from a cardboard box….consisting of packet of crisps, juice, minging sandwich wrapped in cling film, oh and a pack of custard creams…yummy! All the cabin crew on my flight were wearing flying overalls for some odd reason. I cracked a joke with one of the Corporals and I thought I was going to get booted of the jet at FL370 somewhere over Croatia 😉 Although having flown with the Crabs many other times on VC-10’s and Timmy’s they were ok, just had a crap flight a while back and they are the one’s that stick in the mind.

Interesting shot of the camoflaged F18.

    Unicorn

    Unicorn,
NOt sure about why that particular scheme but the jet is basically a hulk that the flight deck and hangar teams use to practise moving around. There is also an E2 that they keep in the hangar.

    All the best

I just love these types of shots, those were the days when you went to the airport and there was more than just the 2 dominant types (Airbus and Boeing). I used to fly from Belfast to Heathrow in the great Trident, still love the look of that jet. If it make you feel any better, having flown in an RAF Tristar recently, they are still noisey inside and with the RAF the cabin service is not as pretty!!!!

    Thanks for sharing

Be it rain, hail, snow or sunshine, AMS is a great place for the aviation photographer. Great shots, I especially like the 1st Martinair and the An124 with that moisture haze over the top of the wing as the low pressure dissipates….great stuff.
