Superhuman is what TFC do best.
Remember when the P39 turned up? I seem to remember it was only 4 days from shipping container to flight test, but feel free to correct me if it was longer/shorter than this!!
With the TFC guys, anything is possible:)

In the real world I live in I don’t believe everything I read on the internet.
My point (somewhat lost by now) was that just because a website says something is ‘suspended’, doesn’t mean it is actually ‘suspended’.
Optimism lives on:p
Out of interest, which of the TFC fleet flew at the May show at Duxford (or any other shows this year)?
Did G-INFO read ‘suspended’ for them at that time too? If so then clearly it doesn’t mean they won’t fly this weekend just because of what it says on G-INFO.
Hopefully.

You know, If this years line up is only half of what we saw last year, I would still be there, lets face it, its the only show where you will see the whole TFC fleet fly, thats got to be worth the entrance fee alone! Christ, I remember when Mr. Grey ‘only’ had a P51 and a Bearcat! Just think what TFC & Duxford (not forgeting my all time hero’s Ray & Mark Hanna) have done for the UK warbird movement, they have thrown unbelievable amounts of money at aircraft that otherwise would still be on the ground at best, if assembled at all! Plus they have provided a venue for other owners to show us their lovely aeroplanes.
I appreciate that the cost to get there and get in is out of some peoples reach right now, but if you can, be there, support the cause and enjoy, trust me, you will!!!Best regards,
Steve

I know what won’t be at Legends this year.
What a helpful comment!
Willow
Nope – safely tucked up in the hangar by then.
Back to the ‘big book of aeroplanes’ for me then!!

Can’t land at Eye….
My guess would be Hardwick to Woodchurch… and a P51…
But I got the time right!!!

P.S. A list (even provisional) would save a lot of bad rumours and speculation!
WW2 fighter southbound over Ipswich at 18:15 yesterday.
Southbound in this case I suspect equates to Eye – North Weald??
Now, it was directly into the sun and quite a way away, but I think it was a P40 (which would probably be the PT P40).
Anyone out there confirm or otherwise?
Cheers
Willow
I assume that the engine previously flown on W5856 would be of no use to get LS326 back in the air? There’s probably 101 reasons why not and I guess this avenue has already been explored anyway.
Good luck with getting everthing back where it belongs.

Both shots are clearly of MH434, so are clearly not the same year. Your camo photo appears to show the aircraft without codes, and I have it logged at the 1990 North Weald show as coded CK-D which rules 1990 out. The fact that it is without codes might suggest that when it appeared at North Weald (and in your photo) the repaint had not been fully completed, which would probably mean 1989 as I believe it was Grey in 1988. Only guessing though.

Sadly, despite being of similar construction, the wing has a different cross-section and would be unusable in a Stirling project.
However, if any other former members of the Duxford Sunderland crew fancy a challenge I’m sure this one would keep us busy for a while…….

Hmmm… what kind of tail wheel does it have?!! 😉
A round one…….
It looks very much like F-AZSH
Well that’s how it reads on the fuselage directly beneath the tailplane, as seen in the second photo of the series.
Hope a fulll recovery is made by man and machine
