    I’m going to side with Papa L on this one, google is no help and my library pales in comparison to others on this board.

    My guess is a German pilot during the war, probably either testing a prototype or killed on operations in a ME262. Given the fact that the Americans and British didn’t fly a jet until 3 years after the Germans this seems a logical guess.

    And Anna, if you don’t tell us soon we’ll have to take away your smiley faces for a week. 😉 😉 😉 🙁 🙁 :diablo: :p 😡 😮 😎

    Most excellent vehicle, Canada TD. I would say it rates right up there with the Citroen 2CV.

    Does it have an engine, or do you just paddle.

    What did the girlies have to do to get those beads?

    Melv

    beads=currency

    Everything is negotiable on Bourbon Street. Or, as my friend Franco put it, beads for ta-tas

    And some Australians had their first dates with one too!

    Oh, that wasn’t nice. I know an Australian with the initials JDK who will take offense at that. Except, well, actually he’s not quite Australian, he’s English. OK OK, he’s not really English, either. He’s might be Canadian, by marriage at least. Of course he works for an American magazine, and the whole “Send us your tired, your poor, your skinny” thing on the Statue of Liberty might apply, so he could be American.

    Hell, he hasn’t got a country. Insult away… 😉

    The Red Lion, Oct. 2004. Wing Commander Holloway and I barely escaped with our lives. Flt. Lt. Merlin took one in the leg, but the CO (Robbo) patched him up. Poor Martin was never seen again.

    Damn dangerous things, pubs…

    I am pretty sure it was ‘bellied’ in.

    That’s what I thought as well, but in the RNHF Sea Fury video it leaves the impression that he rolled down the hill toward the two trees. I find no fault either way, as other warbirds have made off field landing both with and without gear, but I am curious to know.

    Do you know, stringbag, if the undercarriage was down when WG655 made the forced landing in the field?

    No replicas here. I don’t know the exact year gnome, but you are correct that it is a 250GT California Spyder. Lovely car, this one won “Best of Show” this year.
