101 posts. That’s what this completely childish, sophmoric thread has produced. 101 posts. I still can’t believe what you people have been doing while I was at Reno. Honestly, you’d think there was nothing else to do in the UK. At least Anna still loves me.
As for the rest of you, well, you’ve been very naughty and I’ve got a very good memory. If you ever get the chance to fly with me (cue 15 seconds of audience laughter) I’d suggest plenty of those little blue bags that can be found on most commercial airliners.
Least you could have done was make me tall…taller…and not add 50 lbs. Melv looks anorexic. Nice hat, though.
My best side…
Here’s a couple of “self portraits” by my GIB, a nice shot of the Bearcat, and some shots of Captain Eddie’s Firefly that was parked next to Southern Cross last week.
Six hours in the Sea Fury today…I’m off to bed.
Steve
Just home from a very long 10 days in Reno. Here are some shots of the trip out and back that I thought you might enjoy. The outbound leg was Howard Pardue in the Bearcat, and Nelson Ezell in Howard’s Fury, with Stew Dawson in his Sea Fury, Spirit of Texas and me. My backseater today, Steve Dickey of Ezell Aviation gets credit for his stuff (anything not blurry), and the rest of the snaps are mine.
The trip from Texas to Reno covers some amazing country, and we were fortunate to see Bryce Canyon and Zion National Park, as well as the area just north of the Grand Canyon.
Now, what the hell is Morris dancing? What have you guys been doing while I was away? 😎
Cheers,
Steve
PS Had a wonderful time with Mr. Hairyplane, who will have to give his own impressions of his first visit to Reno. He’s welcome anytime, as long as he brings Nicky. 😉
Say Hi to Joe Thibodeau if you see him before I do….he’s taking the Mustang, you say?
Mark
I believe that’s the plan, but I’ll know more after I get to Breckenridge tomorrow.
Steve
Can anyone else tell if that’s a Goodyear “Inflatoplane” hanging from the rear ceiling?
Hi DHL
Welcome to the nut-house.
Be warned never post any pictures to Steve Patterson.
Cheers
Andy 🙂 🙂 🙂
What have I done??? 😉
See Melv, I told you…
See Andy, now they’re naming threads after you. And you said that nobody liked you.
Pssssshhhttt…You really should keep your opinions on sleeve valve engines to yourself. You just never know when someone might repeat your comments on the forum. Naughty boy.
Hi, can I come to your house for a holiday? EN830 will bring some Pimms, and Flood will make tea.
Oh, don’t forget the peanut brittle. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm(can’t speak)mmmmmmmmmm
Reno is fast approaching. I’m going to Breckenridge next Wed., then we’re leaving for Reno on Friday or Saturday. Three Sea Furies and a Bearcat! Should be fun!
Hope to see some of you out on the high desert!
I’ve got a nice store of books and kits ahead of this year’s “hibernation”…
Hibernation? What time of year would that be, then? Hell, I was ready to hibernate at Legends. Never been so cold at an airshow in all my life. First time I’ve worn gloves in the month of July!
Hibernation, indeed… 😉
Oh Robbo, I suppose you’re also in on Andy’s big “revenge” scheme to get me back. I know I know, he’s already got Melv involved. Poor fellow.
He’ll sit and plan in a darkened room for the next five years coming up with some elaborate plan that will cost millions of dollars and thousands of lives. And when I least expect it, then he will spring his trap.
We’ll see Tom Cruise win an Academy Award for “The Few” before this little caper comes to fruition
I did buy my wife one of those red “remove before flight” t-shirts. 🙂
You are correct though that most of the vendors at airshows are just selling trinkets for the kids.
No fair, Mark. Andy probably called in that Napalm strike on this thread 🙂
