The point where they tested this is the toughest part of the airframe ,,,,,,beleive me it puts up a good fight against my 45 ton komatsu,so i think given 20,000 feet 6-9 psi a whole different ball game unzip like a bannana:(
Looks like a dismantle than a smash it to bits job. Are they saving the cockpit?
Cockpit and various other fuselage sections saved,,,the rest is scrap ie smashed to bits
What else is at Kemble waiting for the scrapman, I will be passing tomorrow (Tues 2nd) on my way to Middle Wallop
Keep an eye out were lining them up:dev2:
Ha Ha all Gone:D
Lovely Shot of A7-AAC ,worked on her at Lasham truly luxurious inside;)
Sorry ,,,,if its any consolation there are two vip 727s parked at Lasham,,in real good nick.(oh and one hiding in a hangar in Filton)
Oh, it is very much valued. Thank you.
I was just kidding on 😉
Thought you were ,,,,,,some people throw pretty vile abuse at us (ASI),,but like everyone else we have a job to do:(
Unfortunately she didnt look much like a 727 anymore,,,,,they are a good looking beast,,,always remember working at Dan-Air @ lasham when we received our new 200s,,,real smart.
You enjoy your job far, far too much! you satan of the Aircraft world, you. :diablo:
Your right i do enjoy my work but thought it would be nice to let people know about the demise of various airframes,,,,,info that others do not have;)
Should have been grounded years ago
HI
Looks like a boat fairing from an inboard flap drive.
Also the remains of two A320s at kemble in two weeks to be disposed of then possibly two more 747s
I disposed of both aircraft The 747 weighed in at 85 tons,,Dc8 at a mere 24 tons,,,sad really the dc8 being probably one of the last..:(
