Glad to see that justice has been done and this murdering scumbag has paid the price.
But as has been said already he was only a figure head, a recruitment poster-boy who is now a matryr. With so any different affliated groups he had only a marginal, almost PR only role. But that is now the problem, he will become even more iconic to those who beleived in his extremist views.
The War will continue, vigilance cannot be dropped and must be re-enhanced for the backlash that will come.
If someone else had been in charge would they have supported the switch to fighter production ? Would the 262 have been available a lot sooner? Would sufficient fighters have been available to turn the tide in Normandy?
Lots of imponderables !!!
and there’s more !!
another one being built but a long way to go .
good way of sorting out the IRA I guess..
You think ?????
Nice looking, and those involved deservea lot of credit.Although I have to agree that the cockpit canopy does ruin the effect . wonder why they couldnt make it look more like the original? A single seater set-up might have been better if less practical.
Very nice !!
Saw the programme and while disappointed at some of the mistakes made have to say it was very powerfull.
Done and linked, best of luck and keep up the good work !
Just wondering when did the “car door” type cockpit entrance disappear, when did they replace them with the bubble hood ? Might give an indication when the aircraft was captured ?
Quess what i found?

IAAC 198 on display at Collins Barracks Dublin.
Ok …so it took two mins to load and i lost the DH link…lets just leave it at another dayglow paint job !
Thanks for the Info Tony and well done to you and all who were involved.
I see from the original article that it was NLG250,000 rather than Euro which as far as i know works out at approx STG100,000.
Not knowing much about these things, is that the amount normally involved in such an operation?
Sad news to hear of his passing, May he Rest in Peace.
Can someone explain what’s happening there? I’ve just cancelled my glider ride at work tomorrow!
Its a Glider that likes watching seagulls………
