W O W.
Hmmm, if only. I work at the Discovery Channel in London, old cars and old motor racing is my thing. I’ve produced 3 motorsport documentaries that have aired on Motors TV in the past. Early last year I tried to interest Discovery in some new car programmes. Guess what? Not interested, only interested in more along the lines of ‘Wheeler Dealers’ etc., not something more ‘in depth’. It’s a great pity, but I’ve really no idea where you could place some aircraft doco’s unless you want to start your own channel. I’m sure we all remember Discovery Wings……
I rather enjoyed it.
Beautiful stuff!
I’m interested too. linky??
Belated thanks for that, Moggy.
………….at least they haven’t thrown them away!!
this is an AMAZINGLY bad decision! I have a library of over 20 hours of old motor racing film. I have had it copied onto professional videotape, from there it’s gone onto various hard drives around the place. But I would NEVER get rid of the film originals. Surely RR Heritage aren’t THAT hard up??
My money’s on the Germans this time round.
currently over Northolt right now. A friend of mine is endeavouring to get pics………
that link isn’t working for me.
oh, I’ve had a look through their DVD section and none of it has been produced from Hendon’s archives, it’s all stuff that has been produced outside and they just stock it.
thanks for the replies lads. I’ll get something together today and e-mail DoRIS, hopefully she’ll be able to help.
Just as a matter of interest, which company produced these programmes?
Saying……I’m vaguely suprrised that someone like the Discovery Channel hasn’t picked up on it, even if it a one-off. They could always lob it into a themed night or weekend as a new programme.
