    ‘limited viewing facilities’?!! What will they have? A couple of chairs or something like that? Maybe concordes last flight should be at Liverpool or Manchester??? I know it mainly flew out of LHR but still, LHR is terrible for spectators. Im not entirely sure what Manchester and Liverpool are like but I imagine they are better than LHR!!!!

    I agree. Damn Airbus 😀 ! Boeing aircraft are great, and although the I love the A300 and A340 from the outside, I hate the flight decks more than any other aircraft (ok, the A319/320/321 has the worst). If the A300 wasnt fly-by-wire I think it would be much better for pilots, but then I only fly piper warriors not commercial airliners so I cant really judge.

    I like the KLM UK uniform, and I hate hate hate hate hate the Australian Airlines uniform. In my opinion it isnt smart enough. Pilots should wear white shirts with jackets (ok take ties and jackets off when in flight deck) but infront of customers they should look more smart than Australians uniform.

    From what I have heard from BA pilot he said that it is a cheap way of storing aircraf that may not be needed again.

    I remember that one. I remember someone telling me it was used for certain destinations, but I cant remember which! Not only that but Virgin Virtual Airlines have it on their aircraft list too.

    Thanks for all the replies. I have heard about that Aeroflot one with the captains son. Wasnt it an A300, the boy pushed on the stick whilst he was sat in the seat and the co-pilot couldnt get it out of the dive. But thats great, loads of info, and thanks for the tip Florida Dude.
    I tried the air disaster web page and that was really good for info.

    I hope it is a 747-400, I have been on a 777 with UAL, and I prefer the 744 as an aircraft (although comfort wise im not really sure).

    Sad news in my opinion. Are airlines now starting to fade out the 757? I have heard that quite a few airlines are now replacing, is it true?

    Terrible! I agree with Skycruiser, Im not an Airbus fan but I can accept that the A330 and A340 are nice. That is too short and stumpy, tut tut Air France!
