Yet another cluttered colour scheme – reminds me of the Thomson.co.uk colours

I’d like to know how the passengers for the flight got to Taiwan or perhaps even Thailand (since they fly there, too). EVA Air only comes into LHR perhaps once or twice a day, so getting another aircraft to them would have taken a fair amount of time!

    RIPConcorde,

You’ve lost me? What’s the bloody difference?

That Heathrow and Gatwick movements site that has been recommended is an excellent website, but it doesn’t show any movements from before 1 January 2004.

    Welcome to the forum anyway!

As per request, here is the model that irritates me. It’s so lame that I can’t even be bothered to fix the wheels onto it!

Apparently made by Dragon Wings

    1. Airbus A300 by Dragon Wings

    2. Star Alliance 747-400, also by Dragon Wings

    3. A slightly blurred MD-11. Again, by Dragon Wings!

A shame, I have to say. I’ve flown a few of the British Airways 737-400s:

    G-DOCD
    G-DOCM
    G-DOCN
    G-BVNN

And all but one are going to new homes!

It’s coming from Hong Kong, I’ll chase it up on Monday I think, having checked the seller’s feedback it seems he’s had two other lost in the post complaints and doesn’t seem too bothered about replying to queries. 😮

Those three models pictured at the top came from a dealer in Taiwan some 6 days after I ordered them ! 😎

    Hi,

Like I said with my models, my Thai MD-11 came from Bangkok and got to me almost 2 weeks to the day after winning it on ebay. A couple of months back, I also got a batch of models from New York. I paid on the Friday and they were with me on the Monday!

Also, as for the 1/500 Herpa models, I have seven. I would recommend Star Jets and Big Bird models for your collection – both are excellent. I don’t rate Herpa too highly, simply because their models are tat. My Thai 747-400 was brand new and it looks not much like a 747 (!!), the wheels are not like the real mccoy and the wing is very loose.

    Excellent work.

It’s a shame you couldn’t have gone up to LHR just a week earlier and met up with myself an A330Crazy.

    Excellent models, Allen.

I have also had a fair few arrive in the post lately, but have misplaced the digital camera so cannot post any photos!

My Thai Airways MD-11 (Dragon Wings) arrived from Bangkok in good time and is a nice little piece. With postage, that cost about £16.

My C-17 (Gemini Jets), Thai Airways 777-200 and Airbus A300 (Dragon Wings) arrived from somewhere in the USA as well. The Thai 777-200 is the biggest load of crap ever… very very tacky indeed! The others, especially the A300, are great.

This morning, I received my Dragon Wings United Airlines 747-200 in the orange, red and blue colour scheme. Brand new from ebay at the pricely sum of £4.99! Excellent quality model with which I am most impressed!

Still waiting on my Lauda Air 777-200 which cost me about £5.50 from ebay. MAde by Gemini Jets, so must be a good one!

Finally…(!!) I am waiting for my top notch Thai Airways 747-400 in the Star Alliance colours. I saved only a few pounds on the RRP, but am still chuffed with my purchase anyway!

    That’s it for now though!

Surely, anyone could have predicted this ages ago?

If our air traffic services are up to scratch, nothing should go wrong.

In the photo of ground zero, I can’t seem to figure what is where. We stayed only a minute’s walk from the site. Anyone know which building is the World Financial Center?

I’ve only just noticed this topic, but it’s interesting.

Thai Airways and South African Airways operated codeshare flights for a while, then we saw SAA join the Star Alliance. Give it time and we could see Qatar Airways doig the same!

What did I say about their shabby colour scheme?

Keep it nice and simple and it’s easy to remove for the next owner of the aircraft!
