Hi,Hey we also stayed at this hotel and as T5 states, it is very nice. Part of the hotel which had just been finished was then destroyed on 9/11. After the re-build which finished around spring/summer 2002 they finally opened for business. The hotel is attatched to 16 screen cineplex, massive gym, and 5 or 6 restaurents, and it’s next to a mall. Plus you can also walk to the Staten Island Ferry & State of Liberty/Ellis Island boats.
Hotel is situated on 123 North End Avenue, Lower Manhatten.
Cool! I understand it had not been open for long since the attacks on the World Trade Center when we visited. Obviously being virtually next door, the damage was bad. I think it was shut for a good 9 months.
It’s a great hotel, I have to agree! 🙂
My 3,000th Post!
So basically, for £60 you get some software and can print as many of your own stamps as you like?? Seems a good deal. You could make them and flog them on ebay, they buy anything on there! 😀
Good to hear you’re enjoying it, Martin.
As for women, it’s a shame there aren’t more of them flying. An equal number of men to women would be good 🙂 What are the chances of getting a female pilot and co-pilot on a flight? I’ve experienced that, very smooth!

Really? Who might that be? 😀 😀 😀
The closeup of the Continental 757-200 is very nice. Excellent work! 😀
LOL A330 :p
Had a few parcels in the post today but had to go to work and contain my excitement all day, knowing that I had 5 (!!) packages waiting at home for me. Some were better than others.
Schabak 1:600 – Boeing 747-200
Herpa Wings 1:400 – British World Boeing 737-400
Herpa Wings 1:500 – Airbus A300-600ST “Beluga” Brilliant!
Herpa Wings 1:500 – Boeing 777-200 American Airlines
Gemini Jets 1:400 – Airbus A340-300 Air Jamaica
All nice stuff, but I’m going to stick to Herpa 1:500 I think, nice and cheap and some good stuff available.
I’ll do you a deal if you want??
I will offer you face value for them – take it or leave it. 😀

Couldn’t figure out whether or not you wanted a reply, so I replied anyway.
That’s fine, just curious. 🙂
lol.. oops! :p
Some people keep sending me ebay links and I just want the stuff so much!! 😀
Unfortunately, you win some and you lose some. The plastic 1:250 Concorde models that are so many of on ebay, I bought for just £7. More recently, they have sold at £10, £12 and beyond!
Anyway, 24 hours ago I told you of my latest buys. Just one addition to the fleet tonight – a Continental 767-400 that I loved when I saw, so I bidded and bidded, eventually paying near enough the RRP for it!
I’d imagine £10.51 plus the postage that he has had to pay for it.. at least £12! 😮
Probably no value at the moment, but keep them for years and years and years and you could be rich one day! 😀
Excellent photos! 🙂
How was clearance given for the aircraft to land if it wasn’t scheduled to land at the wrong airport?
I’m not using Broadband I regret announce, but I cope without it.
I think the only advantage to me using it would speed up the process of uploading webpages onto the internet. Otherwise, you can use it for downloading music (which is illegal and I’m sure none of use do it).
I’m happy with 56k – ebay runs fine, MSN runs fine and the forum runs fine! 🙂
