You,ve got to hand to any airline that gets themselves on the box for a 1/2 hour every week, I mean what would that cost in advertizing??:p
Hardly positive advertising though. They have no good things about them on the programme – it’s complaint after complaint. At least with real advertisements, the companies can brag about how good everything is.
Well, easyJet are stupid to agree to the series if this is happening. Let’s face it, most are put off by the unreliability or rudeness of the airline and it can’t be doing them too good – but if they’re still afloat, I guess it can’t be having too greater effect.
But I agree entirely with the Britannia days of the programme. That was great and filmed under the same name, too. No problems with passengers and a great insight into how the airline operates, what their staff do etc. More educational than irritating. And we saw the old BY scheme in the programme opposed to the orange easyJet colour scheme.
Last time we spoke about the programme, I suggested that a new airline should be looked at. The days of easyJet are up!
$5 (or £3.50) is nothing to everybody, but the thought of just having to pay to have your say is terrible.
I think Airliners.net is trying to make money out of basic things. A forum at $5 a month and photographs which you can buy? Ok, good idea, but I take it the actual photographer doesn’t get much of this (if any) money at all?
There’s only one forum for me anyhow!
Indeed, a route which makes little or not profit is hardly worth continuing. Similar to Concorde I guess. That wasn’t making them any money and so, they’ve stopped it.
Hmm… I’m sure that the majority are not paid and that their anger is genuine, particularly with easyJet.
I guess it’s the aviation-related version of Jerry Springer with rumours suggesting that the people on it were actors.
Yippee,
Thanks for the information Wingflaps!
I’m sure he checks the forum regularly…
Happy Birthday!

Could be better, the text has a tacky look to it. Just a large clump of Arial plus a .com at the end!
If you are to do this, you’ll need to act quickly. Bearing in mind that the next Airliner World (July!!) will be going to print within the next couple of weeks, ready for release in early June. It wouldn’t be any good in the August issue.
Very nice photograph, would have been better though if it was British Airways.. 😉
Where’s the aircraft going? Is it LCY or LHR? I don’t know which aircraft can and can’t make use of the runway at the City Airport because of it’s length, but it looks a little on the low side to be going to Heathrow. Also, when I was on the London Eye and aircraft flew overhead, they were much higher.
What a bloody idiot I am, sorry Andrew!

The site must be down at the moment, it isn’t displaying? Bookmark it though and check back at a later date, it’s a good facility.
Greekdude,
Am I an asset too? I love United! :p
My mum and sister experienced Excel Airways last July on a flight from Gatwick to Larnaca. They said the top notch 737-800s were top notch, leather seats all round and friendly crew! What more could you ask for?
Plus they bought me a snap-together model! :p
8 hours would be great. Here’s the formula:
LGW + 8 Hours + Camera = FUN!
