London Heathrow
Undoubtedly London Heathrow, traffic is incredible and one day something drastic will happen!
It’s certainly an interesting looking aircraft, I was just surfing through Airliners.net looking for photos of airlines other than Delta /Continental who operate the aircraft and came across some fantastic shots.
Is the 767-400 near enough the same aircraft as the 777-200?
I think Branson can smell success on the horizon and both he and BA knows that if Virgin should get hold of Concorde aircraft, they’ll actually be making a profit.
Perhaps he could have some luck by approaching Air France? Or are their aircraft all spoken for?
It would seem they are the only operators of the type. Similiar to the 757-300 which is also not quite so popular amongst airlines.
Jet2, eh? Should be good fun – have a great trip!
A tasty selection there Kabir. The sky on the SAA photo is wonderful and that little twirl of smoke coming from the wing also looks good.
Barcelona, eh? Great airport, but I wasn’t a fan of the city itself!
Who are you flying with? I went with BA flying on 734/A319 and the flights were great!
Yes, they bought them for £1 from the Government all those years ago. I still think it’s selfish for BA to have a sort of “if we can’t have them, you can’t have them either” attitude.
If they fail to run the aircraft successfully, let someone else try it. Perhaps they feel that it could be a mistake to let them go and it would be bad to see Virgin making profit out of them.
Good news and good prices too, seems to be quite a long flight time of 80 minutes from Swansea, it’s only just over twice as long by road.
Here’s another different type of shot featuring just the tails of two 777s; Malaysia Airlines and Emirates, taken at night. Very nice!

Perhaps they just rename the same aircraft each year?
The other topic says it is currently closed so it is likely that the photo was taken some time ago. Check out Airliners.net, they have photos from several years ago right up until today.
But the views are unfortunately not very good from the visitors centre and photography is near impossible without a big fat lens on the end of the camera!
