RE: Window scratches
geedee – what do you do for a career? Obviously something military. Thought I’d ask because my dad was up at RAF Brize Norton today, although he’s in the Army.
RE: Low Cost Airlines
Bad news about Mama Air indeed.
That’s one great facility you got there Dan330, goes good with the already brilliant website.
What’s the name of this supposed long haul operator flying out of Luton? It’s slipped my mind completely and is this still set to takeoff? (Excuse the pun)
RE: Forum upgrade
Is it going to be the same forum we saw a few months back?
RE: From Munich Airport on 19.01.03…
Very nice shot.. more adventurous than the usual side-on shots.
RE: Downturn in Holiday Bookings
Surely the fall in sales isn’t just with package holidays! Obviously, sales will be down in all areas.
RE: Jo Whileys radio show on Radio 1.
By The Way (Red Hot Chili Peppers) and If You Tolerate This.. (Manics) are two great songs.

RE: Aeromexico PIC
Small and of poor quality, but here’s mine…
RE: Top Telly :: Mile High
I’ve been about, just been very very busy with coursework. Got 2 mighty big pieces of coursework due in within the next few weeks, going away next week and haven’t had time to get onto the forum…
…But my schoolwork has carelessly been flung to one side so I can sort of enjoy myself!!
RE: Manchester Airport – Security…..
I think this is the same anywhere, Paul. When I actually get the chance these days to get up to Heathrow Airport, I go an Esso Petrol Station. This is exactly the same and is just 30 metres or so from aircraft!
RE: UPDATE – Man held in Gatwick grenade alert
For once in a while, I’m seriously fearing the thought of flying next week.
Hi-jacking a plane with the current security measures at UK airports especially makes this relatively hard.. very few weapons (if any) can be smuggled onto a flight. This is bad bad news for British Airways. I understand their share prices took a tumble as a result.
RE: Forum upgrade
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 14-02-03 AT 05:13 PM (GMT)]Does this mean we’ll lose our posts? As in, my 1439 – will they all just disappear and the counter be reset to zero?
RE: Aeromexico PIC
Yup.. nice pic there Keltic.
I got a photo of an AeroMexico 757 a few months, fantastic colour scheme. It’s nice to see a bare metal effect.
I was also walking up the road this morning and got a glimpse a fantastic American Airlines 777 on approach for Heathrow, looks great in the clear blue sky with the sun bouncing off of it – very similiar colour scheme.
RE: Boeing’s new 7E7 – the weblink (I hope)
That is pathetic.
Boeing have some incredibly stiff competition from Airbus in the next 3 or years with the introduction of the A380. I was hoping we would see something impressive like a 747 with a much larger, longer upper deck. Instead, we get what looks very similar to the 767-400 with the winglets.
I think the future for Boeing looks bleak. Airlines already have a vast selection of aircraft which are similar to the new 7E7; A330-200, 767-200, -300 and -400, 777-200 and maybe even the 757. Another such aircraft is boring and what I would consider to be a non-profitable venture.
With the A380, it is going to be the only complete double decker of it’s kind. My idea of a 747 with an upper deck the length of the aircraft would prove interesting. Airlines would have two options and this could be seen as more of a success.
