    It’s not a patch on the colour scheme shown below nor on the scheme where they actually had a section of the fuselage completely in an airline’s colour scheme. Looked odd, but plenty of character!

    The SAS Dash 8 posted by Kabir is how the little A319 I was on, touched down at Heathrow last year. I mentioned this in my flight report I think. We whacked down onto the runway with the hugest thud on one set of wheels and then thudded again onto the other set. Terrifying experience! I dread to think what the poor people in the TAP Air Portugal flight were thinking when they came in to land!

    I see Fresh Aer is based at Ascot, just down the road from me. Seems a little odd having their main offices anywhere but home!

    Phew… 49 destinations from one airport? I guess it’s going to be tough competition between Ryanair and easyJet once the easyJet-Go takeover is complete and such a move is necessary.

    Didn’t get a chance to say thanks for that A321 video file Kabir, thanks anyway! Bloody MSN cut me off after receiving it and by the time I got back on, you were gone!

    I’m quite surprised it took them so long to figure out that a go-around was necessary. Obviously, they weren’t going to achieve much just bouncing along like they were! 😛

    We have too many low cost airlines at the moment and I believe, especially in the United Kingdom, we are in desperate need of other low cost methods of transport – buses and trains are expensive and could be offered for less.

    Very similar to the old Star Alliance colour scheme but not an improvement in my opinion.

    I don’t think it tells us who makes us the Alliance like the previous one had. However cluttered the old one looked, it was better. It told us more about the company and it’s partners.

    This looks a little cheap ‘n’ nasty to me. Big, bold text stretched across the side of the aircraft… Surely, they can do better than that?

    I must admit, I like the aircraft it has modelled on. I’m a big fan of the 767-300!

    This would have been a 737 -400 or -500 right?

    What cracks me up is that people fly because it is quick. An hour or so in the air opposed to about 7 hours by coach! Then they are put onto a coach when arriving at Manchester!

    I don’t seem to be getting a flight for £1. £49 is the cheapest I can get. (With GermanWings that is).

    I don’t see the need for such dramatic exits personally. If somebody wants to go, then go. I cannot see any point to making a big thing out of it.
