Perhaps they are a popular airline and one MD-80 just isn’t enough for the number of passengers wanting to fly lo-cost with them.

Surely it’s not as bad as this Air Loco or whatever it is called which is out next Spring/Summer time! A 747 for short haul is a crazy idea.

I reckon they have gone for the DC-10 because it is fading away and they probably got it cheap anyway, perhaps cheaper than the more common aircraft e.g. the 737s as used by Ryanair or easyJet which are likely to be around for years longer.

If a passenger has a choice of going from A to B on a 737 for more than getting there by a DC10, I know which option they’ll go for — whichever saves them the most money, in this case it is Air Lib Express.

Very sad news.

Perhaps it was just down to pilot error, especially with it being very foggy, mistakes are more likely to be made with such poor visibility.

No offence to you Skog, but did you find it a better than what you wered used to? I’m not wanting to sound nasty but when I tried, we had had and brie in a wrap – how I love my ham and brie wraps(!!) The stewardess asked me what I wanted, she said there was a tuna fish salad (I hate fish, so posh nosh number 2 had to be my choice). She asked if I wanted ham and brie wraps to which I said “Brie?”. I am happy with a something not quite so upmarket e.g. beef stroganof or however you say it! :9

I swear the BA A319 I was on in Feburary landed like that at Heathrow. It definitely landed on just one set of rear wheels.
