    I like rock… i.e. Manic Street Preachers, Oasis, REM. I also like to occasionally listen to the Beatles (God knows why I am admitting this, I’m gonna completely lose my street cred!). I am not a fan of pop but there are a few good pop songs about these days. Shame that Steps split up!! 🙁

    Yeah… good to know I’m not the only GMTV viewer. United were sponsoring Cold Feet on ITV – not an aviation related programme but that too was brilliant! 🙂

    Dunno if any of you people are quite as sad as me… but I’m a GMTV viewer and American Airlines are supposedly offering exclusive fares to GMTV viewers(!!) Clearly, the airlines affected most by Sept 11th are making a comeback.

    What an amazing website. I just found out that the aircraft of Britannia’s that I flew last year (G-OBYI) has been leased to Garuda Indonesia! Cool!

    I live in Reading, Berkshire (UK). I’m only 20 minutes by car from Heathrow Airport and on the flight path. I’m also only about an hour by train from London Gatwick.

    This has to be the accident that amazes me. Nobody was killed on this Britannia flight from Cardiff to Girona. A man died of a heart attack after staying in Spain but it’s not thought it was related to the crash.

    It was bad weather which caused the crash and the 757 skidded 500 metres into a field and literally snapped into 3 pieces… amazing to think nobody was actually killed as a result of the crash.

    There will certainly be many Ansett employees being taken on by Virgin Blue and Qantas but not all of them can be taken and so there will be many left without any job at all.

    I thought I might recommend http://www.flug-revue.rotor.com/FRTypen/FRSu-80.htm for information about the aircraft. As far as I know, it gives all the information about the runway specifications required. Hope it’s of some use.

    Not at all… dare I say it but I think the 737 is a load of cr*p and should be abolished. Okay, it’s successful and just as popular as it ever was and probably will be for years to come but it’s a boring aircraft… to fly on and to look at… it’s just too common especially with lo-cost carriers like easyJet and Ryanair! 🙂
