Those dreadful special effects in the original Dambusters won an Academy award for best Visual effects, I think that todays best CGI will seem rubbish in ten, twenty years time when it will be possible to recreate any actor from the past and interact with actors on screen without it looking like “Who Killed Roger Rabbit” the only thing will be how they pay the voiceover guys, as for the remake I hope they just re-master it in Colour and get rid of the flying scenes and CGI new ones.
So Bruggen do you think it is cheaper to pay VoiceOver artists and CGI artists to recreate long since dead actors performances than pay a new actor? Trust me it is not cheaper. Also do you think it is free to recreate an actors performance. A fee would be paid to the estate of the late actor. A bonkers idea of the future.
And why do you need to colourise the film? It’s been enjoyed for years. People don’t mind the lack of colour.
Plus you do realise that Roger Rabbit isn’t meant to look convincing don’t you? Rabbits don’t actually talk or wear clothes 😉
