Even a few of us professional drivers who clock up 65-70,000 miles a year, still fall foul of mobile speed cameras. I am waiting to see if I fell foul of one last week when cresting a hill in a 30 mph limit at 33mph , as I looked downhill there the van was with camera pointed up the hill towards me. They seem to have dropped the % overspeed for heavy goods vehicles, where you had a little leeway, a mate of mine recently got done for 32 in a 30 limit resulting in a £60 fine and three points.

And being from the US, there are quite a few 8th AAF related museums in East Anglia such as Thorpe Abbots (100th BG(H), Framlingham/Parham(390th BG(H), Debach(493rd BG (H), that are situated in the old control towers of what is left of these airfields.

I have no idea what happened to them after the larger Duxford based collection of the EAG was ‘dispersed’ Steve.
It occurred to me that I have never seen “Germany” marked on any WW2 parts.
Apart from tyres on the Pitsea Marshes Ju88 we dug, they were marked DUNLOP – Made In Germany.
I have a set of control rod linkages from this wreck, I will get around to posting a photo asap.
