No it isn’t. It was successfully sold on eBay to a new owner
In fact it’s in fine fettle under it’s new ownership with much progress on internal restoration. See more on it’s website……..

Having the day off really helps.
Couldn’t wait and fitted the throttle box trunk to the engine control duct and fitted the throttle box on that. So the whole unit is almost ready apart from some top hat section stringer bits that need to be fitted for strenght. At this speed I will have to make a sturdier base to place the whole unit on otherwise its too heavy.

The levers got painted accidentally (bit of incommunicado on my part) but that will get sorted out soon.

Christmas came early today!
Picked this up this afternoon. To say I am pleased is an understatement.
A HUGE thanks to 682Al 🙂 🙂 😉 , whose help was fundamental in the successful reconstruction of this throttle box. No, it’s not an original (as those are rarer than hen’s teeth) but who will notice.
With the pilot’s seat almost finished the project is getting a great boost.
This again proves what the forum can do to help.

Where to find techincal drawings?
Hi All,
I am looking at making a reproduction of a Canberra cockpit, due the limited possibility of obtaining one and shipping it to Australia. 🙁
Can anybody point me in the right direction where I might be able to find Canberra techincal drawings/blueprints???

XM692 – have you tried RAF Cosford? In AFTS’s annex in the sooty shed, there was a gnat which had been liberally sprayed with salt water and used as a corrosion demonstrator. Its possible that it still exists. It would have to be scrapped INSIDE the building, but I would enquire as to its whereabouts before Cosford closes for good. Just a thought….

De-Icer pump
By the way, the only thing I still need is a Rotax de-icing pump as used in many RAF aircraft such as the Spitfire, Hornet etc. If anyone has one kicking about, I can provide a good home for it;)
