Due back to BBMF in september now.
Looking very nice too.
Nice Scheme.
I like it.
Over to the experts now to go over the details…
Is that roundel blue too light?
or the greys too dark?
does anyone know if the serial font is correct?
Its not correct for a Mk16, blah blah blah
Etc etc etc you know the rest………….
ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ
In the Loading and C. G tables in later mark spitfire APs is reference to
an Incendiary bomb carried in the cockpit.
I recall seeing clips for such a device on the stbd cockpit wall in some of the
later Mk APs as well.
The pilots notes for the mk18 show it clearly.
I will check the mk 14 notes and let you know.

so the age old question; – will it be at Legends ????? perhaps park it next to its stablemate TA805 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
No.
Just read over on Airshowbuzz that Glacier girl will not be crossing the pond this year but there is confirmation that the 3 ship horsemen will be attending legends this year. Does this mean there will be 2 mustangs arriving in containers?
No.
Not quite steve, not taken apart yet
heres a pic of it in the sanders hangar yesterday

If that were in the care of ARC at Duxford it would be flying again by Friday!
Im sure one of the ARC fleet of vehicles would deploy a team really quickly.
Or they may even have a undercover, unmarked car in the area.:diablo:
Someone in TFC will be able to answer that question
C6
Clearly not you then.:diablo:
Where is RN201 these days?
It was in the USA with Tom Blair, dont know if it has moved on yet.
Am I right in thinking that with the sale of the two MK 18 spitfires at Duxford
recently that we are down to just one MK 14 [MV268] and if that gets sold
there will be no airworthy Griffon spits in the UK?:(regards
Graham
Er…I think you will find that its not MV268.
Its just painted up as that.
Looking at it recently,id hardly call it airworthy.
Funny they ran the engine with the cowlings off.
I wonder if it all went well?
Sounds a good deal to me.
Will the resulting 2 seat spitfire have a set of undercarrage doors?
Or is that an optional extra?
Maybe its all in the information pack.
Then again……
