Well to be fair little work was done in the first ten years, and was significantly redesigned when work was restarted.

Has more to do with placement IMO, Kamov has the large nose to play around with, Mil has to deal with vibrations on the main rotor.

Russian Air Force Tests New Air-to-Air Missile

If true this is a very positive development. Till now upgraded airframes with vastly expanded capabilities still rely on legacy weapons.

New production Mi-28 for VVS doesn’t have launch warning sensors yet, looks like Kamov has pulled ahead. :confused:

Wonder why Mil is dragging its feet, substantially more airframes have been made than @ Progress.

This is the first combat helo in the world to have a DIRCM serially mounted right?
