Given maneuverability is supposed to be one of the PAK-FA’s main advantages over the Raptor, how many Gs is it capable of handling? The F/A-22 can reportedly do up to 12G turns, and its pilots wear a special liquid-filled G-suit to cope.
Reading about the T-50 it doesn’t appear to me it is designed for any more than 9G, from this report …
Is there proof that F-22 (What is F/A-22?) can handle sustained 12 G turns in service?
The maximum designed load is 9gs.
Also, you are using a report sourced to Ria Novosti as a reliable backing for PAK-FA characteristics? Hmmmmmmm
interesting, it’ll use a Yak-130 engine, but with after burner.. more and more the L-15 is looks and IS becoming a super Yak-130!
Wasn’t it obvious from the start it was going to be essentially a supersonic Yak-130?
Progress getting fancifull with all this RD-93 replacement talk, let’s see if it ever actually hits reality.

Photo from October.
basic stuff like, honor, moral strength, you know, things that makes up the self-respect of a country, all that gone to the toilet.
Somehow those two don’t seem to factor in when discussing ripped-off aviation projects. :p

As for the PAKs canopy, I wouldn’t be suprised if there’s some significant changes before a production version. The rear visibility especially looks Like a real issue at the moment.
How so? It seems angled to have great forward and decent rear visibility. Having transparency all around the back is worthless, a pilot can’t crank his neck that far back anyways.

An interesting photo. The Mi-24VK-1, one of the first night examples by Mil, on the path that eventually led to the Mi-35M. The electro-optics were not accurate enough to guide an ATGM, and the helicopters seems to be retired.
PS-90A2 will now be fully Russian

This is important.
Personaly I dont know zhit about the pros and cons of frame less canopies. But if IAF wants one so bad, how hard could it be for India to custom build a frame less canopy for FGFA? Yes I guess its not that easy, but hell, its just a canopy after all? Not like scratch building a brand new and revolutionary radar system. Or if HAL/India cant hack it, have it custom made by some one else? Like Israel or France. Or China??
I think the IAF, as a professional organization, has higher and more intelligent concerns and priorities than silly one piece cockpit envy.
Only ten new diesel subs by 2020 is pathetic to be honest.
Why? It’s not like all of the Kilos will be scrapped, they are slowly being overhauled/modernized.

No Stealthy Engine nozzles, No Single piece canopy. Boring.
That’s it. Ignore button exists for a reason, and for the first time, I am going to use it.
And please, don’t send me any more PMs, every time I read one I feel like a baseball bat collided with my head.
All RuAF SMTs are ex-Algerian, though not all of them were even delivered yet AFAIK before the deal broke.

End of the road for the Ekranoplans. The stored units will be completely scrapped in the near months.

Even Americans are realising how good Bush really was when it came to foreign policy and other things. All of the republican candidates, especially the front runner Romney are talking about the flaws in Obama’s foreign policy. Including ‘resetting’ ties with Russia (going back on missile defense), being too soft on Iran etc.
Here is hoping for a Republican victory, A reversal to Bush era policy towards India and tough (even war) measures on Middle East and against Pakistan.
Quad, as a voting American citizen, I can assure you, you have no clue what you are talking about.
Unlike you I would have a world which has war that don’t compromise on principles, than a world at peace which is full of compromises.
Good grief, what ARE you smoking? Economically crippling wars launched under completely spurious reasoning are matters of principle now? I am very glad you won’t be influencing the polls with this nonsense, then again, coming from the guy who called piracy chivalrous…
