Aren’t side-sticks supposed to be more pilot-friendly?

Sidesticks are not “western” style, look at Typhoon for example.
Su-37 had sidestick, guess they didn’t like it.

Here you can see the different claims and time will tell. By the way a short-term rise in birth-rate will not reverse a trend the general age-structure in mind. 😉

If anything, the claims based on 90s era demographics that Russia’s population will drop by 50 million by 2050, were the absurd short term ones.

Yes, I think it will be 12 cells instead of the 8 on the Indian ships.

Another thing I just noticed about the Admiral Essen plaque: no Kashtan, AK-630 instead – very intriguing!

Indeed, wtf?

Can I pray for 9m38 on the ship, to take over Kashtan missile role? If not, why would they have replaced Kashtan with Ak-630, not Palma or something.

11356M ships are supposed to be all VLS, right?

That is what I have been hoping, but there was a lack of clarity as to how close to the Indian ships they would be. I hope that picture confirms it is indeed VLS and the “long range” Shtil.

Irbis is definitely an evolution, though a massive one, of Bars. Would be senseless to start the project from scratch.

BTW, AFAIK Bars has Mechanical steering as well, though not as articulated?

I think more Su-25s with updated weapon systems is a cheaper and much more sane idea.

Well, it is very possible Su-25s carried out strikes nearby, so don’t worry there is certainly some perverse comedy involved either way.

The Tbilsi plant is fine, certainly did not get bombed to ****.
I think there were some near hits on nearby arms depots or something, but the plant itself is pretty much fine.
