here we have it. Video of Su-33 taking off with full bag of missiles.
Toan’s numbers are by no means the ultimate truth, but they are useful extrapolations based on some comments made by industry people. Given the lack of firm RCS/radar data, that’s all we can really toy around with.

Looking very Kuznetsov like in these photos.
Go look up the range of the SU-30MKK and compare with the SU-30MKI, see what difference even canards can make in terms of drag.
Actually both manufacturers list the range in internal fuel (which, btw is about 80kg more on the MKK) as the same.
Sorry in regard to Your optimism … but is that already “fact” or again only a “wishfull-thinking” if, when and so on, especially since the Indian Flankers will also be modified for their own Astra AAM (which is surely not in the class of the Meteor).
Deino
PAK-FA will have its own specific family of A2A munitions, so it doesn’t need Meteor in the long run really.
At times i hope the rumor that India leased some backfires be true. May be they are hidden secretly for Nuclear strike 🙂
Kind of a hard aircraft to hide completely don’t you think 😮

Rumanian MiG-21 Lancer-Bs.
Can’t wait till the munitions designed specifically for pak-fa are revealed.
Are You sure ??? At least it has the Su-27M’s taller tails with not only the fin-tips but also with the additional fuel tank … and overall the other airframe modifications (- the canards) were included too !?!!
Sorry, what I meant was the airframe was much closer to the Su-27UB base than the Su-27M, aside from the modified tail fins (they have the height and thickness of the Su-27M, larger area than say a Su-30MKI tail fin) the differences are not at all deep, some strengthening for payload, minor stuff.
Kinda funny that Irkut, which manufactured the UB in Soviet times, ended up with something close to Su-27M with its Su-30 (canards, vectoring, phased radar) while KnAAPO, the Su-27M home, created a Su-30 more inline with the UB.
Just some tidbits:
The MKK airframe is not based on the Su-27M, it is very much based on vanilla Su-27UB (not that there is anything wrong with that). Tailtips aside, the airframes are very similar. Su-27M had some differences, anyways that project was never really finished.
Also, KnAAPO and Sukhoi are very closely aligned, Irkut is if anything a separate competing entity.
Not that hard to look up…Meteor is slightly heavier than R-77, a bit longer, has a slightly smaller body diameter (though it has those big intakes).
