Mi-28 not winning was pretty much expected, the platform is just being put in service on a mass scale, and not all systems are fully operational…Mil is already working on a Mi-28NM. Apache on the other hand has been around for a long time. I had hoped India would wait some time before selecting a winner, because as it is, Apache was basically winner by default.

EDIT: Another question is production capability, Mi-28 is laden with domestic orders ATM.

I do think an RCS of .1m2 of a Typhoon (let alone with any useful external load) is fancifully low however. If only I had a Typhoon and several radar sets to play around with…
