The first 11356, the Admiral Grigorovich is going to be laid down on the 18th of this month at Yantar.

Yantar won this contract for 3 frigates in October of this year. The deadline for completion is 4 years.

is there a reason you posted this here and not in Russian navy thread? Really stupid headline too, lol, selling Kuznetsov to China.

It means a heck of a lot for stealth levels…considering nothing is conductive to being “stealth” in there.

Reading comprehension is a good thing.

Back during the days of the former USSR it had the resources to catch up to the US from time to time.

Actually during those times it was not unusual for USSR to be ahead in some military sense, and vice versa, from time to time.

    Dear sir,

The U.S. owns a S-300, Irael must have info on it also, because they have threatened Russia with the release of Tech data. The s-300 Is not the savior of the unfree world

Not operational in Syria, or not operational in general? If you’re saying the latter, you may want to recheck when the IOC date was vs when the attack was.

I meant in the Syrian context.

Apparently they avoided all air defense in their attack period, but I am not sure about that.

and it is evident with their Mirage 2000-9 which is still useful today and probably for the next 5-10 years.. by which time a French 5th gen effort could be arriving.

That’s a bit optimistic don’t you think? (regarding 5th gen)

You may want to use google which will, bring up such articles as” Why the Syrian air defenses didn’t detect the Israelis,” from Aviation Week(author David Fulghum). It wasn’t SA-2-SA-6, that were jammed/hacked. It was new state of the art Russian radars, and likely Tor M1 SAMs.

Nonsense. Tor was not even operational, or around the area when the strike was performed.

    Dear sir,

The F-22 can beat the Typhoon on pure kinematics alone. It throws the missile father it turns tighter, its sensors are better. its a better plane even with out stealth. When you post a video of a typhoon doing a J-turn then we can debate the issue, but until then just accept that the Typhoon is a inferior aircraft to the F-22 in every respect. Pirate IRST wont help you much in WVR or when the enemy air craft can manage energy alot better than you.

P.S. I don’t even think all Typhoon variants carry a gun.

It has absolutely no IRST, yet is is superior in EVERYTHING to the Typhoon.
Yes it is a much more advanced aircraft in most ways, but such utter disregard for other airframes as well as this aura of Raptor invincibility…
    Hmm. Potent cool aid.

you mean, something similar to what Kopp did, determining the RCS of the f-35 based on photographs?:diablo:

or maybe, just maybe, they took the values LM has released, took the values they themselves estimated, and tested the whole lot of them against radar systems? It maybe next to impossible to recreate actual RCS-accurate F-22 or F-35 mock up (for obvious reasons), but making a generic RCS target of similar front values is not.

Not to get into the “whos got the bigger displays” argument, but the Mi-28N cockpit seems somewhat disappointing.
