Whilst I was in hospital, I was in a ward with 5 other blokes, 2 of which died during my stay. The guy in the next bed was pretty sombre at the seemingly poor odds at getting out alive.
Later in the afternoon he looked across to me and said “Have you come here to die?”
“No” I said “I came here yesterdie”
The bloke opposite blew his tea across his bed.
(it took 30 years to use this old joke, it was worth the wait!)
