Nice FN50 turret cupola…
any idea what the other turrets are?
Denis, Perhaps that is the German engine you have?
Searching around today, found signage ‘Jumo 211d Heinkal III
Creaking door, The five-bladed propeller is from a Hawker Sea Fury.
One of the engines is definitely a Junkers Jumo (the one photographed on its own).
That ties in with a sign liberated from the wreckage
CC, I guess the German engines and the Sea Fury propeller were dredged-up off the seabed?
Everything apart from the turrets was dredged up.
Anon, Some nice stuff there. Did you get the heads-up this was going to be dumped or was it a lucky spot?
Have you got a museum to send it to or are you going to display it yourself?
Got a heads up the lorry was parked up over ‘Classic’ and it spiralled from there. The guys from Classic did a great job unloading the truck.
and no idea what I’m going to keep or pass on yet, I do need to recover the substantial sum of money forked out over the last 2 days.

The building directly below the radar was my office 1981 – 1984. The two seco huts beneath the engines were derelict but sometimes used by Air Traffic as a night flying store. The area behind the buildings at the time of the photo has just been planted with trees and will become Carnanton Woods.
