………. until the F35C become available for service.

Thats opimistic, they might carry a few helicopters………..maybe, for a couple of years, then get flogged on. Once we’ve run a couple of years without fast jets on carriers someone (MP) will have a bright idea we don’t need them and just use the RAF instead. Then they will realise we don’t have an RAF because they ran them into the ground also. So will then privatise the armed forces into a smaller leaner force called…….er…Group 4. The good news is of course will be cost, now a couple of secondhand Transit vans towing an inflatable with an outboard motor will sort the Navy out. I reckon Trotters Independent Trading Co may still have a couple of inflatables knocking about.

You don’t seriously think these carriers will ever be used for what they are being built for, do you??

I went back through it again and there is a rake in the undercarraige on some versions so I take back any criticism.

This is an awesome effort totally beyond me.

    well done Alex

Thoroughly enjoyed reading (not being a model maker, and have a attention span of a retarded goldfish) and a great way to learn Lancaster anatomy.

    thanks for sharing.

….. I wonder how well they would do if they were to fight, say, a red stag buck naked, armed only with their teeth and nails?

    …ooh I dunno, my ex-wife with PMT, no contest:eek:

They did say this deer was 8ft tall and 12 years old. They said he was showing his age and were doing him a favour by shooting him(!) It was said that he had never lost a battle during the rutting season ( just a few days ago ) so that was balony then. But hey!, what do we townies know about deer? ( I know they’re crap at jumping the fence behind my Spitfire, and they set off my alarms at 4am, and they shout at each other this time of the year, and….)

    I do like them though:)

Doesn’t mention much about it on their website, is this going to be a film that encumbers the whole of the period or follow the career of a particular pilot? Will there be a scouring of the worlds BoB airframes and much engineering to get them airworthy? Will this be on a scale of the 1969 film, Dark blue world or (God forbid) Pearl harbour.? Will it be full of stars or newbies? Will there be…oh, my head just imploded….will it be Heinkel Smart cars versus Spitfire Smart cars in the Tescos carpark in Maidstone?
