    Very nice, now that is one airfield that truely has returned to nature, although the twin woods are still there, or were.
    Is the tower still there?

    Yes, tower restored and several other buildings nearby. The runways were dug up years ago as a foundation for the M25.

    Using “AI- ” codes so that flying shots from BoB film could be used? Hope you didn’t have to do a respray.

    Respray has been done in a water based paint so when finished end of next week, it can be reverted back to GR-U

    (still haven’t forgotton you Robert!, it’s a bit manic at the moment))

    Highlight for me was sat in Grahams MkIX starting up that mighty Merlin and to hear, smell and feel the experience and all that goes with it. Took over an hour to get the grin off my face!

    When sat in the cockpit with all the noise and vibration watching that prop spinning, it felt very much like the real thing!

    Sitting in Graham Adlams Spitfire and winding up that mighty Merlin, looking through the gun sight and watching the propeller spin up. The smell the sound, awesome!!…..couldn’t wipe the smile off my face!!
