Speaking as an even longer ex TG9. I never saluted an officer when he/she was out of uniform!!!
A young WRAF at RAF St Mawgan walking up the hill to work one morning, failed to salute the C.O. driving down the hill in his flag flying staff car.
Incensed with the lack of respect he swung round in one of the lower car parks, sped back up the hill and pulled up next to the young lady.
As he leaned across to wind down window, our WRAF opened the back passenger door, hopped in and said cheerfully “Thankyou sir, going as far as Operations?”
Being the gentleman he was, he got his salute after he dropped her off at Ops.:)
(she was TG9!)
We invented that in the twenties, I’m sure we could incorporate this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tJDIHcLzCRk onto our modern day railway system, substituting the mail bag as people and a mattress at the drop off point. 🙂

I have to say 6 years on it was the best move I ever made. 🙂
Totally agree, I have achieved so much more in the aviation world after the same reasons of splitting up ( blimey) 13 years ago!
From the little things like being able to watch what you like on TV, to the bigger things like buying aeroplanes, etc. You find this new found freedom and enjoy it, and life, a whole lot better!!
I feel much more relaxed with the world now than when I was married.
Jon, it ain’t all gloom and doom, mate

But apart from that Baz, it was Ok !?
I felt the same way when I saw it but couldn’t seem to find the “off” button either.
As I paid £13 for it, I made damn sure I was gonna watch all of it!!
Oh yeah, the step father was learning to fly Cessnas, yet able to fly low level in a (more) complex twin, to a standard that Guy Gibson would have been proud of!
Elliott Marsh
In short, there are so many reasons why this film is terrible that it may actually be quite good.
er……no.
Just terrible
At the end of the film when everybody was cheering the hero (who incidently was a part of the group that broke the damn door in the first place) I found myself cheering because it was the end of the film.
