I do wonder if the result will stand or if the yellow flag incident will change the result.

Surprising as the young forumers (‘digital natives’) are not friendly with terms such OS and SW.
Nice to be called young (!)
As an ex-coastguard:
O.S. Ordnance Survey and S.W. South West
both of these abbreviations have been on the go for a great number of years, I was not aware they had been replaced with these new fangled computer ones, as the compass and map are still extant.
I cannot believe you have been on this forum for over 10 years and haven’t asked any aviation related questions, posted any useful material or even said ‘hi’. This just makes your first post onto this forum a little odd (to me, anyway).

As an aside
Corporal Daphne Pearsons George Cross at Detling, May 1940, was jaw dropping to say the least…..

Recently read about this.
2 MMs were won this day, both by WAAFs, during a raid by Stukas on Detling.
One was Sgt Jean Youle.

Just reread, OP said wings (doh!) oh well, propellers are ‘little’ wings I suppose:rolleyes:
Sizeable number had wooden propellers.
Pretty sure it wasn’t your post that the “thought police” took issue with.
This gentleman did.
