22 spokes in the flag not 24?
Engineer wearing yellow dayglo, not orange? (mandatory in Snohomish County)
Using black bin liners to cover windows, instead of white swing bin liners?
Aircraft destined for United Arab Emirates, not Air India?
Some jokers fitted a balloon basket where the engine should go?
Nope, no idea.
Enlighten us.

If you’re faced with a forced landing, fly the thing as far into the crash as possible.
(Bob Hoover)Bob Hoover would be proud 😉
Using my Key publishing Aviation armchair speculation handbook, Propstrikes quote is tops. I would guess (and this is only speculation) the pilot was working his ass off from engine quit to touchdown. To walk away from such an incident as they did, is testiment to the piloting skills and a small slice of luck.
Would be interested in MoggyC commenting as he is a real pilot.

hello buzzer.
Nice photos by the way.
The Upper Heyford F111 with fireman in attendance looks like a classic ‘hot brakes’ deployment
The EC24 landing shot looks like a 13 arrival with the sun on her back, if it is, almost certain I’m on it. I arrived back from out to sea after a PAR talkdown and we dumped a load of chaff on the way in, this rendered the radar u/s for sometime after with jamming. Most of the time St Mawgan had a predominately SW winds so 31 was usually the prime runway.
Noticed with the G91 and the P.3 photos the translucent apex to the hangar, never noticed them before. I once punched a hole in the roof of 402 with the L32, knocking down Jackdaws. We were later issued with a Sirroco .22 which was more than adequate. I know 402 was reclad at some point as I have a photo with all the skin removed.
Do you know what year you took the photo?
cheers
